Peter Pan looked on as the peg-legged pirate, Bill Jukes, cracked his whip at his captives. A line of ragged Lost Boys trudged down to the counting room shackled with heavy leg-irons. Others hauled loads up the gangplank moaning and groaning under the weight of their loads. Bill smiled. The sound of misery was music to his ears. Happy thoughts were not allowed. In fact there was twenty lashes waiting for any boy who dared to laugh out loud. Bill made a point of telling his prisoners that no one had ever escaped him and that his whip was made of the hair of those foolish enough to try. On his shoulder rode his faithful parrot who squawked an alarm to warn him about escaping prisoners. Bill cracked his whop again, ordering the Lost Boys to pick up the pace. There was a lot to be done to get ready for the greatest war ever in Neverland.
