First, the articulation is above standard. Reason: head can move freely and still locks in place, arm/shoulder joint is swivel-ball, double joints in the elbows, articulation of the forearm and wrist (up-down, twist, twist) Torso is a big peg joint (I believe) hips twist, and legs are the same as the arms. So for articulation I give this figure 4.50*'s. Sculpting is a little disappointing. Why: flimsy plastic. If you examine the uprising shoulder collars you would notice that it will eventually loosen and possibly break (hasn’t happened to me yet, thank God) Now, the same should be said about the earpieces but it is a little more firm and durable. To top off the sculpting area of my review, I give this figure 2.50*'s for sculpting, because it is very bland. Finally, the paint/detail, the...[See More]
Hi all. To start off with, as regards to the Yellow Jacket, created by Hasbro, has created some turmoil in my mind. Although Yellow Jacket is part of the awesome group known as the Avengers, he sadly does not look as awesome as the rest of my collection of Avengers. I take Captain America for example and compare him with Yellow Jacket. The Hasbro Yellow Jacket lacks so much detail, not to mention articulation. In my opinion, it is quite sad that Hasbro has decided to sacrifice character detail, such as facial expression, muscle detail, etc, together with even less points of articulation, for the sake of mass production. When I compare Hawkeye, Cap, Vision, etc, with Yellow Jacket, the poor action figure screams "PAINT ME". The dull colors used on the action figure is also a sign of mass...[See More]
I don't know why Hasbro doesn't have all their figures painted entirely, I see awesome paint-jobs based on the small areas they decide to loosen the purse-strings on.
The Bald Hornet stands 6 inches tall, and most of it is head, hah. It's probably just an illusion from having a smooth head, but his head looks too big. YJ has the same basic body of Captain Marvel (or Moon Knight, same thing) with different hands, right clenched, left open (like it's reaching out to something). The head is black with the Superman-chin, eyes, and yellow ear-things painted. The black on the chest, the yellow belt with gold buckle, and the chest-wasp (it's a little blurry) are also painted. The big black neck-things are stiff but flexible (lol). This figure (and the Quicksilver) looks pretty generic, I wanted...[See More]
