Big Sisters are Rapture's fiercest predators. Despite being covered in armor they possess deadly agility and can strike from anywhere. Charged with protecting Little Sisters, Big Sisters keep an eye on all of the ADAM in Rapture and punish anyone that disrupts the balance. Able to throw objects telekinetically, leap off walls for powerful melee blows, throw fireballs, execute devastating charge attacks and even extract ADAM directly from living Splicers, Big Sisters are the worst nightmare of anyone unlucky enough to draw their ire.
Big Sister is 7"-plus proportion and detail. She has a removable backpack with a cage basket just the right size for capturing a Little Sister and ball joints at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees ankles and ab crunch.
I was pleasantly surprised that I had no issues getting the figure out of the package as this is when something normally goes wrong for me with NECA figures. I was rather worried about the spear/harpoon on her arm as the plastic is very flexible and possibly easy to break off. The basket on her back was rather tough to get into place on mine but once there it wasn't going to come back off. Sadly NECA failed to think that most people would like accessories and included nothing of use such as a Little sister to fit into the basket. It would have also have been nice for the helmet to come off the Big Sister to reveal the person inside or to feature lights in the helmet like they did with the Dead Space figures. Somehow I wondered into the world of Bioshock and had to get some of the figures. The big sister is a VERY cool figure. Her detail is far beyond par with some of McFarlanes figures, but I expect none the less from NECA. Her articulation is somewhat limited but not by much, she's no DCUC figure but I've had no problems with posing her so far. The big problem that I did have was when I took mine out of the package her left arm came off but it was easily glued back in place. (My bet is that it simply came unglued during shipment or some kid shook her really good.) She comes with a basket that the little sister stands in and it snaps in and stays put, however it does add some top weight to the figure.
