2021 marks the 40th anniversary of a couple films, including the original Evil Dead movie. Sam Raimi’s cult classic still holds up well after all these years thanks to its great story and special effects, and it did well enough initially to warrant sequels, video games, comic books, a remake, and a TV series. NECA has dabbled in the franchise before, doing figures coming from both the sequels, Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness, and the Starz Ash vs. Evil Dead series, and an Ash coming from the original movie is due out next year to celebrate the anniversary of the one that started the gory mayhem.
