On Stardate 50893.5, the Borg began a new invasion of the Federation, led by a Borg Queen who brought order to the chaos of the hive. She established the collective in the Engineering room of the Enterprise. The Queen captured Data in an attempt to get the ship’s access codes. When Picard came to rescue Data, the android punctured one of the plasma coolant tanks, liquefying her organic components and rendering her inactive.
