Those Vipers who display excessive meanness and cold-hearted detachment are assigned to the prison where captured enemies and hostages are kept. Besides guarding the cells, they assist the Interrogator in the retrieval of information from prisoners. The more a prisoner resists, the better the Viper troops like it, because the Interrogator lets them apply physical punishment whenever someone refuses to cooperate.
