Powers:The Absorbing Man can alter the molecular structure of his body, his clothes, and his wrecking ball to mimic the properties of any material he touches. This process also gives him enhanced strength, endurance, and in most cases, resistance to injury.

Boxer turned extortionist Carl "Crusher" Creel was in jail when he got a magic potion from Loki that gave him the power to mimic the properties of any material he touches. He is an enemy of Thor and the Hulk, and has also faced all the Avengers as a member of the Masters of Evil.
