During his adolescence, Jean-Paul Beaubier found that he possessed the mutant abilities to fly and travel at superhuman speeds. He has since discovered that whenever he joins hands with his sister Jeanne-Marie, they produce a radiant strobe effect, often blinding their adversaries into submission! Putting his life as a professional skier behind, "Northstar" joined Alpha Flight, Canada's very own super heroes.
