Karnak is a member of the Inhuman Royal Family, born on the hidden island of Attilan. Unlike most Inhumans who gain their powers through Terrigenesis, Karnak's unique abilities manifested naturally - the power to perceive and exploit the weaknesses in any person, object, or system. This made him a formidable warrior and strategist, as well as a key advisor to the Inhuman king, Black Bolt.
Karnak has been involved in many of the Inhumans' most significant adventures, from the Kree-Skrull War to conflicts with the villainous Maximus. He has often clashed with more compassionate members of the Royal Family due to his ruthlessly pragmatic decision-making. When Attilan was eventually destroyed, Karnak was displaced and struggled to find his purpose, joining the Inhuman Resistance to help rebuild their society.
Karnak's journey has taken even more unexpected turns, including being imprisoned by Maximus, battling against the Avengers under mind control, and even apparently committing suicide. However, he has managed to escape the afterlife dimension he was trapped in, reuniting with Queen Medusa and reclaiming his role as a member of the Inhuman Royal Council, using his analytical powers to continue protecting his people.
