So I was annoyed that after several months playing Pokemon Go, I still hadn't caught one of my favourite Pokemon - a Dragonite! My annoyance turned into an idea to simply make one myself!! Of course by the time I finished with this guy, I had 2 Dragonites in the game but still happy I was able to do this.

Started off as a knock-off Charizard SH Figuarts. Glued aluminium foil over it to save on epoxy clay and then added the epoxy to shape it right. Wasn't happy with the wings which were the Charizard wings reshaped so ended up using wings from a toy Batman. Then sanded and sanded and sanded before gluing foam on it for the tummy! Painted, coated and viola.

now this is one hellva custom
was smart changing a charizard into dragonite
since the joints from the sh figuarts helps alot

Well, it is a nice Job, and I was kinda surprised you built a bulky Dragonite from a Charizard .... but actually Wicked Cool Toys released a large Dragonite figure quite recently. They also released Gyarados, and I just got a couple of them to have both the regular and the Red versions

Thank you and thanks for the info. I'm not exactly a "collector" of figures though. I just like making things, turning one thing into another. That's what I enjoy doing
