Ok, so here is the first in my line of New Warriors figures! They have always been some of my favorite characters, yet have not gotten much love from the action figure world.

Here we have Speedball, in his more modern costume. It's an Archangel body repainted with a Pyro head! Gotta give thanks to my friend Kelso for that idea! Anyway, that's about it! I really like how this one came out, but lemme know what you think! -Spidey

A Pyro head that actually suits a figure! Kudos for that alone man. I find that using Citadel Skull White spray paint to base my figure before painting works a treat. It gives you a flawless start and you'll find you won't need as much paint either. Welcome to the realm!

Wow! quite a run of customs you just put up bud! Good job. A couple of things to note for future mods, remember to wash the figures with soap and water (check out the tutorials section) before you paint (dry them of course!) it looks like you're having some trouble with getting the paint to stick to the figure, I can see some spots where the paint "pulled away" as it dried, this is definitely indicative of mold release left on the figure. Mold release vs paint = pain in the fanny! Speaking of paint, what kind of paint are you using? You have some neat colors and they seem a bit on the glossy side, although sometimes that's just the way the camera takes the pic. (as discussed in several other threads previously). If a figure is mostly molded in color - that is to say that there is less factory paint on the figure and more colored plastic, chances are the figure will have a bunch of mold release on it. Where figures have to be factory painted, they have to clean them first too and so they have less mold release on them. Wasp (Black suit), Black Panther, most hulks probably have a slew of mold release on them because they are mostly molded out of colored plastic. Hercules from hasbro, now that was painted on so I have found it rather void of mold release.
Also looks like you might have some thick brushes. I see the brush nick there on the face of this fig. I hate when that happens myself and it happens plenty. Remember to use the right size brush for what you are painting and apply paint to the brush in the appropriate quantities so it won't drip elsewhere on the figure. I like to paint from the caps of my paint jars. That is to say I shake heck out of the paint jar, (tightly sealed please!) then remove the lid, turn it upside down and viola! Instant Palette. If you need to go housepainting (repainting a hulk body or something) then you can dip the brush into the paint jar, but it's best to avoid this in the beginning so I recommend using the caps.
If you don't have tiny brushes (hey those things are insanely expensive!) remember you can take a smaller walmart paint brush, and a sharp exacto knife, and carefully cut (close to the metal part of the brush) part of the bristles off. You can create some very tiny brushes in this fashion and keep it on the monk..er uh cheap.
Best of luck and keep up the good work!
