This was one of those ideas that I always thought would have made a great San Diego Comic Con exclusive. They did one a few years ago with Batman taking his mask off to reveal Bruce Wayne underneath, but I felt like Superman deserved some love too since we always see his ripping open his shirt before running into battle to protect Metropolis. We have gotten some 12 inch versions with real clothes, but 6 inch deserves some love to right?

So I used a DCUC Starman base with the jacket from a Mortal Kombat Kano figure. We got Clark in the 6 inch line, but I always felt like he was way too skinny and wearing a suit would not hide your muscles that well. Supes is muscular, so I figured this was a good base because you can still see his muscles under his suit. The hands are from some random wrestling figure. The tie blowing in the wind is a cut up neck scarf from DCUC Boomerang and the open shirt was sculpted and the symbol underneath was hand painted. I wanted to make it more of scene/diorama like Young justice toys, so I added the street base from Artemis along with a phone booth(as throwback to when Supes used to change in one in the comics and movies) and newspaper stand from a recent WWE lot I won. I hope you enjoy and thank you for your good words and constant support.

I love it!! When I was making that last Superman I did(with him ripping his own costume), it was supposed to be a goof of him ripping open his suit to reveal his costume. Someone made a cartoon of him doing that saying "this is a job for... oh, crap! I already had my costume on!"

Great idea! Reminds me of a plastic toy I had as a kid. It had the same pose as the one in e first pic. The toy had no articulation, I remember that the hair was brown instead of black and the suit was greenish. A pair of glasses would Just about make this perfect.
