Once upon a time I was into making weapons for action figures, this is another piece from those good times.

•Started with a piece of armature wire bent to shape like the haft, sculpted the whole body on it in one pass with Apoxie Sculpt. The wraps are thin strips of electrical tape.

•Cut out the blades from a sheet of styrene, that I ordered all the way from Australia, because it was a dollar cheaper to order it from them than it was to buy it from a local store haha. Then I beveled the edges and carved the green design with a rotary tool. I should have beveled the edges a lot more to break up that large plain surface, but it looks alright.

•Cut slots in the haft's head to slide in the blade pieces, then glued in place.

•Painting was straightforward, dark basecoats with lighter drybrushing. I only had 1 shade of brown at the time so I mixed the lighter colors on the fly. The metal bits were black with a steel color on top.
