Triton has eluded me - the ToyBiz figure... And I have had this Smythe figure for ages not doing anything with it.
The Smythe figure had a broken hip joint. This is the only figure I think ToyBiz ever used the metal ball joint and rubber band - and my figure had the metal bar broken in two places... way beyond any basic fix.
I had to build an original rubber hip going through the torso, splitting off into two ball joints inside the legs. He won't sit posed in his spiderslayer but he does stand nicely. The figure works really well with the newer look of Triton so it was just a matter of cutting off the two shoulder spikes, sanding back his hair and sculpting a fin on top.
