Lobo
DC Universe Classics (Mattel) - Exclusives
Rated 4.85 stars by Buzzy_Fret
DCUC Lobo - Mattel's SDCC 2008 Exclusive Wow, Mattel really did the Main Man up big time for SDCC! The 4 Horsemen really went over the top on the sculpt for Lobo and Mattel put it all together in a great package that screams “Super Collectable!” First off Lobo is huge in comparison to the DCUC line. I know this is going to be a big crit for scale nuts (and I say that with utmost respect) as Lobo stands at almost 8.25 inches. His character stats on the package say he’s supposed to be 6’4”. I can only guess that Mattel decided to make him out of proportion with his DCUC counterparts because he was an extra special figure. As reported by Mattel’s own Toy Guru; Lobo was one of the characters that wasn’t going to be made for the retail DCUC line as he isn’t “kid friendly” unlike DC...[See More]
Orion
DC Universe Classics (Mattel) - Wave 1
Rated 5.00 stars by Buzzy_Fret
I can't believe Mattel offered Darkseid's son / nemesis Orion in the first wave of the new DC Universe Classic (DCUC for short) line! And I'm ecstatic that they did. Orion has been a DC favorite of mine since I was a young 'un. I distinctly remember owning the very first issue of Jack Kirby's New Gods and the image of Orion sailing through the stars on the cover made a huge impression on me. Mattel has done an incredible job on this figure and the 4 Horsemen design is extremely accurate. Orion doesn't have a lot of details but what he has they nailed. If this is an indication on how the future figures of the DCUC line are going to be made then I think Mattel is going to give Hasbro ML a lot of competition. Maybe Mattel will get the Marvel License next. See More]

Nifty! The shading looks blotchy in some places though, probably less noticeable in-person?

I think it''s an effect of the digital camera and the downsizing of the pics. still experimenting with my light box and some of these pics were a little fuzzy before being altered in photoshop.
I''ll try to take a few more that are a bit better lit and post ''em here.

Hawkman
First Appearance (DC Direct) - Series 2
Rated 3.50 stars by Buzzy_Fret
Hawkman / Carter Hall / Katar Hol; Superhero, Reincarnated Egyptian Pharoah, Thanagarian Cop, Archaeologist and Tough Guy. Now offered in molded plastic for the DC Direct Action Figure series Supeman/Batman: Public Enemies. I can't tell if Hawky here is from series 2 or series 3 as the package has both "Public Enemies 2" and "Series 3" printed on it. Hawkman stands about 7 and 3/4 inches tall from his feet to the top of his helmet and almost 9 inches if you measure up to the top of his wings. Like most DC Direct figures Hawky is great looking but lacking in articulation. I counted 13 points of articulation (that includes the ball joints for the wings). No articulation at the waist at all. The sculpt job is great and the...[See More]

I have this guy as well. To me the wings seem a little puny compared to the rest of the body, they needed to be fuller

I got this one too, I think he''s a bit tall. Last I checked he wasn''t suppose to be over 7 feet tall.
Otherwise hes a nice figure
