Thrasher T-Rex
Jurassic Park - Lost World (Kenner) - Dino-Strike
Rated 5.00 stars by Mr-X
The Lost World dinos had to be the best versions ever made in my opinion. They were the right scale, good sculpt and had some cool actions. Granted there were a few odd ones that may stick out but most were perfect. None represent the line as best as the Thrasher Rex does. He is perfect with a good scale, great colors and and some pretty nifty items and attack features. The Rex is a good size, about 12 inches when in a "walking" pose. The walking pose is the most realistic but he can't really stay up without support so the ideal pose for him to stand is vertical. This looks weird, like hes trying to catch a bird, but it lets him stand upright. The Rex comes with two things of interest. First is his Dino-Strike feature. When you grab his tail and pull it from side to side he shakes his...[See More]

Jurassic Park (Kenner) - Deluxe Dinos
Rated 4.80 stars by Mr-X
This is one of those figures that has me at a neutral stance. I love the sculpt and the coloring but I just think its to big. The adult rex is bigger yes but this guy still dwarfs every other JP figure. Our little rex comes at a tall height of about 11 inches, pretty big for a youngin. He comes with two nifty features, Dino damage and attacking whatnot. The DD is your typical idea of it, put the piece of skin in, pull the piece of skin out. The skin fits in nicely and comes out easily. The attacking feature is very simple, squeeze the neck and the mouth opens wider, wide enough to grab prey. The sculpt has him in a weird pose, like he’s just standing there waiting for a bus. Like the other Deluxe Dinos, his skin is rubber so it actually feels like skin instead of hard plastic. His...[See More]

Jurassic Park (Kenner) - Deluxe Dinos

The legacy that started it all, the original Jurassic Park line. The figures were good, the dinos were great and it left an imprint on the future series to come. One of the best parts of the series was the Deluxe Dino portion. This was a part of the figure line that kept the dinos actual size, making them big and realistic but small enough and with enough detail to be part of the actual figure collection and not as a really separate branch. This review is going to be on the Trike from the said line. This was money well spent in my opinion, this guy is great!!! Not only is he a nice big size, he is also very realistic but before I get to that ill touch on his actions. First off he has the Dino Damage, the trend that started it all. Unlike future attempts, this turned out great. Its a...[See More]

Jurassic Park III (Hasbro) - Electronic RE-AK A-TAK
Rated 5.00 stars by Mr-X
Another one of the few greats of the JP3 line, the Trike. He is actually really close to his LW counterpart. The Trike, like any other dino figure from this line has the two sound buttons. By this time you may be getting sick of hearing about them but its part of the figure and actually turned out well here. The DD button is still in the wound, on the left side, and is still designed to look like a rib. When pushed the figure releases his pained cry which is actually quite loud. The other action comes from his legs. When his back left leg is pulled his head rises and he gives his mighty cry. The raised head is a cool feature because it allows him to knock figures down, again much like his LW counterpart. His coloring is the second best in the series. His whole body is a dark brown,...[See More]

Jurassic Park III (Hasbro) - Electronic RE-AK A-TAK

What can I say about this guy other then he’s and obvious repaint. He is basically a Pter with a semi new head extension and new feet. Sadly, he still has the same clunky flaws. As stated, he is still oversized. I’m not sure what they were thinking when they made these guys so big but it wasn’t too good. Anywho, his sculpt is still mostly the same as before. Now however, he has two open feet instead of one open and one clawed and his head has extra skin. He still has the same sound as before. The DD is still in the same place, designed as a rib and gives off the exact same screech. The head roar is also the same, push down, head opens and a scream comes out. The biggest difference here is the coloring. Now his body is a really dark green with a white underside. Across various parts of...[See More]

Jurassic Park III (Hasbro) - Electronic RE-AK A-TAK

I was surprised when I saw this action figure due to its sculpt. Unlike the previous SPino, this ones sculpt actually looks pretty good. Don’t get me wrong, its still small it just looks better here then it did before. This Spino is actually bigger then its previous style. This is mostly due to the fact that it looks like it’s reaching for something above it. Like most other dinos of the series, it comes with two sound effects. The first is its DD on the chest. Of course its camoed to look like a rib bone and it turned out pretty well. When pushed he releases his pained scream. The second button is actually the front section of his fin. When pushed down he lets out a roar and his arms move up and down to simulate slashing. The one downside about his sculpt thhough is the mouth: its stuck...[See More]

Yet another figure done in by his size. While I can see making the Spino a bit smaller then his movie size, they should have made him bigger. Though his size stinks, it really is his only problem The Spino is actually pretty good once you get past his size. Like most other dinos, he comes with DD and a roar feature. The DD is again a rib bone in the open wound. When pushed he lets out his pained cry. The roar feature is much like the Raptor, you push a button on his neck in and his mouth opens and releases a roar. This is cool because it allows him to grasp other figures in his jaws. Color is really close to the movie likeness. His whole body is a dark brown color, like in the movies. His fin is also brown but has blue stripes across it. His claws and nails are the typical black color...[See More]

Here was a prime example of something that actually should have been shrunk down but wasn’t. This guy seems too big to me, and that makes him clunky. The Pter comes with the usual dino damage noise and the roaring action. Again the DD is the rib bone in the wound and when pushed he makes his hurt cry. The roar actually comes from his head. When his neck is pushed down, his mouth opens and he lets out a cry. A good feature because it allows I’m to play battle tag with some prey. Another cool thing about him is his leg sculpt His left leg is sculpted in a hooked position which allows him to carry unsuspecting figures away to be devoured. Paints really...interesting here. His whole body is a dark tan color. Then across his back he has green and dark grey blotches. His DD wound is blood red...[See More]
Pack Raptor
Jurassic Park III (Hasbro) - Electronic RE-AK A-TAK
Rated 5.00 stars by Mr-X
Yet another flawless dino from the JP3 line, guess there were more great figures then I thought. The Pack Raptor is possibly the greatest JP3 dino in my opinion. Not only does it have a good sculpt, good color and cool features but it’s the right size!!! Anyway onto the review. The raptor comes in a sculpted position that makes him look like he’s stalking prey, he’s hunched down with his tail in the air. He comes with two dino sounds. The first is the dino damage, again the rib bone on the wound. When pushed he does his own dino pain shriek. The other sound comes from a button on his throat. When pushed in he does the classic raptor scream his mouth opens and his arms go up and down. His color is awesome, even if it isn’t junglish. His whole body is a grey color. From the tip of his...[See More]

Jurassic Park III (Hasbro) - Electronic RE-AK A-TAK

One of the great figures that came out of the JP3 lines, one of very few. The Dilo is of course, bigger then most of the human figures. The odd thing though is the fact that he’s bigger then many of his fellow dinos, even some who were really big and were just shrunk down. This isn’t a really bad thing though, he still looks cool. He is sculpted in an attacking pose, mouth open and the frill out. He comes with two sound features. The first is the dino damage, a ghastly wound which helps hide a button in the form of a rib. When pushed he sends out a pained cry. The other is a lever on his back. When pulled, he lets out a roar and his arms move up and down, pretty cool. His color is great, he actually looks like a jungle dino. He whole body is a jungle green with the exception of his...[See More]
