Abin Sur / Green Lantern
DC Universe Classics (Mattel) - 2-Packs
Rated 3.50 stars by pock63
Abin Sur is a strait reuse of the Hall Jordan body with a little more black on the costume and a new head. Normally I would be angry about this blatant of a a reuse but I'll let it pass in this case because they are both lanterns and there costumes are often identical in the comic. The head sculpt is good on this guy and so are the joints....[See More]
Human Torch
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Ares Series
Rated 4.00 stars by pock63
I originally got this guy as a base figure fore fire lord but when I got it I decided to keep it fore my collection. I normally don't keep Hasbros marvel Legends but I made a exception fore this guy because he's so cool. I am a big fan of clear action figures. Hasbro cast the body in clear orange which looks great when you hold it up to the light. They even airbrushed on a different collar of orange with translucent paints so that his body isn't just one plaint collar. The only no cleat parts on his body are his symbol on his chest and his eiys which are both yellow. The flames coming off his body are cast with a clear yellow instead of orange. This gives some nice variety to the collars. The sculpt on this figure is one of the things that I don't like about him. His legs are much shorter...[See More]
Shark
DC Universe Classics (Mattel) - Wave 11
Rated 3.50 stars by pock63
Shark is a old green lantern villain. I was surprised that mattel decided to make him instead of another yellow lantern in the set. This figure is a decent figure but deffenatly not one to go out of your way to get. The sculpt on this figure is generally boring. Apart from the head it looks like a standard dcu body with fins. He is painted with a metallic purple with absolutely no shading whatsoever. As fore the head it is orange with a little bit of airbrushing around the gills. This paint on his body isn't very sharp and it blurs slightly where it goes from one collar to the next. The joints are standard dcu. Over all this figure leaves something to be desired. I would have liked to sea some better paints on this one. Maybe a dirty wash or some dry brushing on the head. This isn't a bad...[See More]
Red Tornado (Modern)
DC Universe Classics (Mattel) - Wave 1
Rated 5.00 stars by pock63
This is one of my favorite action figures of all time. This was one of the first DC Universe Classics I bought. I have always been a fan of the design and bright colors on Red Tornado's costume. Mattels rendition of this character was a perfect match to the classic dcu R.T. the paint job on this figure is nothing short of magnificent. All the base plastic is red so you don't need to worry about paint rub. They airbrushed on a darker red fore all the shading on the body. The lines on the costume are super sharp. They are all bright yellow with a orange wash(some of the ones I saw in stores didn't have this orange wash but I was lucky enough to get one of the ones that did. His cape and gloves are made of soft rubber. Like most dcu his cape attaches to his back so that it doesn't flop...[See More]
Cyborg Superman / Mongul
DC Universe Classics (Mattel) - 2-Packs
Rated 4.00 stars by pock63
I picked up this pack a while ago at toys r us. Both figures looked nice in the packaging but once I opened them up I found out that Mongul was the only good figure in the pack. Cyborg Superman is very badly constructed in just about every way. Most of the metal parts on him are just glued on top of some old dc superheroes superman molds. Also his paint job is sloppy and the coller of red on his boot doesn't match the red on his waist! As fore his joints they are standard DCU joints except his right shoulder has restricted movement because of the metal piece they added on. If you want a cyborg superman the killwog series one looks much better. It has a different left leg and a much better paint job. The mongul from the two pack is much better than the Superman. The sculpt on Mongul is...[See More]
Kilowog (Collect & Connect)
DC Universe Classics (Mattel) - Wave 11
Rated 5.00 stars by pock63
This is the best DCU collect and connect figure yet. Kilowog towers over normal DCU figures. His sculpt is flawless! The great sculpt is complemented by a great paint job. The paint on the body is incredibly clean and the dry brushing on the head brings out all of the detail. The only thing about this that could be better are the joints. The hips and shoulders have slightly restricted movement because of the immense size of Killowogs mussels. Apart from that this figure is perfect. sculpt 10/10 paint 10/10 articulation 8/10 overall 28/30...[See More]

Blue Beetle
DC Universe Classics (Mattel) - Wave 13
Rated 4.50 stars by pock63
The DC Universe Classics Blue Beetle is one of the best DCU yet. It has a very detailed sculpt which is a perfect rendition of the character. I like the head sculpt on the DC Direct beetle better but apart from that this is the best Beetle yet. He is one of the best jointed DCU figures yet. It has double knee joints, double elbow joints, and half ball joint wrists. All the rest of the joints match standard dcu. He comes with removable clear wings and a removable shield/knife fore his arm. Both look very nice the one drawback is that there are three large wholes in his back where the wings attach. sculpt 9/10 paint 10/10 articulation 9/10 overall 28/30...[See More]
Joker
DC Universe Classics (Mattel) - Wave 10
Rated 4.50 stars by pock63
This guy is without doupt the best Joker yet. The schulpt on this guy is great! The paint is very clean. The joints arn't very goold. The hips and shoolder joints are very restricted. This isn't a huge problem but it does make it a bit harder to pose him. He come with a bunch of accesories. They all are goold although they don't fit his hand very well. This can be fixed by heating the figure up and holding the hand clossed while it cools. If you are thinking about getting this figure you deffenantly shoold....[See More]

Blue Beetle
DC Universe Classics (Mattel) - Wave 7
Rated 5.00 stars by pock63
This is the perfect classick blue beatle! His schulpt and paint are both goold! His gogles are clear so thet you can sea his eiys underneath! His pistoles handle is slightly small but there are many easy ways to fix this. This is one of my favorite dcu classics in my collection. I got it as a birthday gift from one of my brothers and was thrilled! It also had the last body part I neaded for Atom Smasher! Woot!...[See More]
Atom Smasher (Collect & Connect)
DC Universe Classics (Mattel) - Wave 7
Rated 4.00 stars by pock63
I finished this guy a while back and am finely getting around to writting this review. The paint is goold on this guy there is some nice drybrushing on him and the lines on the costume are well done. The schulpt on this guy is also goold. The only problem I have with this guy is his size. If he was about a foot taller than he would be the perfect Atom Smasher as it is he loock like the atom wacker....[See More]
