Iron Man (First Appearance) Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Series 14 - Mojo Series Rated 5.00 stars by necornaut First appearance iron man, well the name says it all, he's the first appearance of iron man and he's in his silver costume, although he only appears like this only for one and a half issues this is a figure you want to get. We will first start out with the paint overall very good I mean I couldn't find too much wrong. The articulation was good I liked the articulated fingers, just saying this because of how his fingers are its quite easy and funny to make him look like he's giving the bird. One thing that bothered me was his helmet, it never quite fits right I tried heating it up then attaching it and hoping it would fit better but it never did (I think its a conspiracy against proper fitting face plates). Also one thing I would have liked to see was his little skirt thing. Overall a...[See More]
Wolverine (Super-Poseable) X2: X-Men United (Toy Biz) - Series 1 Rated 5.00 stars by necornaut I really like this wolverine figure for the movies, it was way better than the figure for the first movie in most every way. The figure itself had good articulation but it had this terrible thigh joint, I mean I don't have too much of a problem with the joint in the middle of the thigh but his is at this weird slant, I mean for posing purposes its okay but not great, this really shouldn't be a reason not to get this figure. The claws on this wolverine were relatively straight to my surprise and not all bendy, which is always a plus, he is overall a really good wolverine and fits in well with marvel legends as well as any marvel movie line, so you could stand your new x-men with the fantastic four and he fits in fine. The base he comes with is kinda cool, I think its so that he can do...[See More]
Great Review I Agree ! But I add That The Neck In my opinion is a little bit too long not much but I shaved mine down a bit and I still have it for up for display .
Magneto X-Men - Movie (Toy Biz) - Series 1 Rated 4.00 stars by necornaut This was a really cool figure when I first got him, he was like most of the first movie figures he had his own special action button and a display base that could also do something else, but he came out during a time when toybiz still had limited articulation. The figure itself looks a bit young like maybe it was a magneto from a few years ago but still yet nothing to worry about. His one hand is in a fist and his other is in a position to move objects with his mutant ability, oh did I mention that there are magnets in his hands, yeah magnets so that you could actually put metal objects in it! Now here's where I got confused was on the base, I mean it was easy enough to assemble but the missile it came with I don't know if it was just mine but I had a horrible time trying to get it to...[See More]
Deadpool X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Hasbro) - Comic Series Rated 5.00 stars by necornaut This tiny deadpool really packs a punch, his size is the same as most star wars and gijoe figures so that means that you can really do a lot with him and loading him up with weapons shouldn't be hard. The figure itself has ball jointed hips and his articulation for such a small figure is really good, about the same if not better than some of the marvel legends we've gotten from Hasbro. The style of his costume is the more modern one that we see in the beloved series Cable V. Deadpool and the ongoing series Deadpool. The figure comes with a pistol, assault rifle, two swords, and a really lame over sized sai. That was a problem for me is this big ridiculous sai, because is too big to fit in his hands and look cool and there is no place for it on his body, really just a useless accessory,...[See More]
Nicely said. I actually have a few of them and kept the sais for my larger ml style customs, they''re perfect and nicely detailed.
Forge X-Men (Toy Biz) - Series 2 Rated 5.00 stars by necornaut The figure entitled Forge is all around a really nice X-figure. The paint is nice, it looks like him, the joints are just fine for a pre-legends figure and it has this cool little quick draw action which surprisingly enough did not mess up this figure as those actions have done in the past! darn you action buttons! But aside from my personal strife with the acursed action buttons this figure is great in anycase. Like I said the paint is good the face is good everything is good except this didn't bother me but I could see how it could the gun in his hand won't come out, now I'm sure if I do the pop and boil method the fun would probably just slip out of the hand, but I like how he's always got his hands on the trigger like a man living on the edge... Anyway the figure is a nice addition to...[See More]
Cable X-Men - X-Force (Toy Biz) - Series 1 Rated 3.50 stars by necornaut This is a figure that would have been nice but because of "action buttons" it was messed up. The figure itself is nice, fairly good paint for being pre-legends and has a good likeness to Cable except in my opinion his face is a little narrow, but that would be a REAL easy fix with a little sculpy just widen the jaw. but anyway back to the figure itself, the main flaw is the karate chop action button it's cool if your using him to smack Stryfe around but it just looks kinda weird like he's doing the robot dance and just left his arm hanging. The other arm is on this weird joint and it just doesn't move that well. Now don't get me wrong this Cable is okay not as good as the ones to follow but if your just collecting for the sake of collecting then this first Cable is a good starter. There...[See More]
Deadpool X-Men - X-Force (Toy Biz) - Series 1 Rated 4.50 stars by necornaut This Deadpool is great example of Toybiz in the early 90's with a really cool figure but with one minor flaw. The figure itself is the basic toybiz joint style and personally I really like the old school style of Deadpool, its by far one of the best styles, because well you just don't see it in this day and age not with all of the fancy new deadpools with their extremely sweet weapons... back to business this deadpool is really just a nice piece to add to your evil mutant/ mercenary/ or really sweet figure collection. Oh yeah I forgot to mention the flaw, the flaw is the spring out dagger, now don't get me wrong I love using the dagger to stab cable or the occasional x-personel, but it just kinda looks like a small sawblade type thing not really a menacing dagger, but hey it does make...[See More]
Taskmaster Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Series 11 - Legendary Riders Series Rated 5.00 stars by necornaut Tasky or otherwise known as Taskmaster is seriously a sweet Marvel Legend if you can get a hold on him. Taskmaster has the Bullseye, Daredevil, and countless other legends style articulation, the only thing that I would personally change on Tasky is his hands lack the finger joints so his gun hand always looks as though he's trying to get somebody to come near him by waving his finger. Besides his hands Taskmaster is very sturdy for a figure, as he has fallen off of his glider and off of a bookshelf many a times.
Tasky comes with many accessories as he should because hey Taskmaster with out the tools just isnt him. He comes with his black knight style sword, his custom captain america shield, a billy club like daredevil, and just a plain pistol, don't get me wrong its cool looking but...[See More]
