Flash (Running Arm Movement) DC Comics Superheroes (Toy Biz) - Basic Series Rated 4.00 stars by Magneto55 It's easy to deem the DC Superheroes toy line from Toybiz as a Kenner Super Powers knock-off series; however, I thought short-run of the series by Toybiz was just fine. What I liked best about this Flash figure, is the fact that he's more bulkier and taller than the Flash ( Barry Allen version) released in the Super Powers line. The 'running movement' feature is pretty interesting. The feature itself is unique because it was the first time that a action figure had a 'wind up' mechanism inside it. The costume matches Wally West's alter-ego dead-on. Overall, it's a shame that the DC Superheroes line was scrapped, but The Flash is definitely one of the better figures in the line.

Blade-Vampire Hunter Spider-Man (Toy Biz) - Vampire Wars Rated 4.50 stars by Magneto55 This Blade figure would be the only time it got released in the 5" Toybiz series. The figure itself resembles Blade's appearance for Spider-Man: The Animated Series cartoon. However, I wished the figure would've came with a sword, and not the accessories that was actually included with the figure. Regardless, the half- human, half-vampire Blade is a nice addition to any Marvel collection....[See More]
I bought it because I was a huge Ghost Rider fan and thought I had a mistake because of the lack of swords. Hell of a good figure tho.
Green Goblin (Throws Pumpkin Bombs) Marvel - Super Heroes (Toy Biz) - Series 2 Rated 4.00 stars by Magneto55 Norman Osborn AKA The Green Goblin gets a solid figure among other famous Marvel baddies in this action figure line. His accessories include his Goblin glider and 1 pumpkin bomb. However, the facial expression on the figure look rather goofy and not menacing. His action feature enables him to throw the pumpkin bomb that was included with it. Considering the 3 rouges of Spider-Man released in this line, the figure is probably the 2nd best next to Venom (Flicking Tounge)....[See More]
Magneto (Magnetic Hands & Chest) X-Men (Toy Biz) - Series 1 Rated 4.00 stars by Magneto55 Honestly, I'm a diehard Magneto fan, so it was obvious that I would like this action figure. The design is pretty accurate to how the ''Master of Magnetism'' appeared in the X-Men comics for many years. He comes with a removable helmet and metal debris. The cool thing about the figure itself, is that it has the feature of having magnetic hands and chest (which the debris can stick to.) Interestingly enough, the figure comes with a cloth cape; which was never used again in this line (all other action figures' capes were plastic.) Most reviews I come across about this 1991 figure, are lukewarm; however, I think it deserves more recognition that it receives....[See More]
I agree, not many people like it. I think its a great figure(the likeness is dead on, its got decent articulation, the "action" dosent mess up the movement). The only dislike I had was the cloth cape. The AoA Magneto was good too
Wolverine X-Men (Toy Biz) - Series 1 Rated 4.00 stars by Magneto55 Marvel favorite Wolverine gets his 1st figure in the X-Men line. He's featured in his brown and orange costume that he wore in the comics for awhile. One aspect that I liked about this action figure is the fact that he's smaller compared to other figures. Considering that Wolverine is 5'2 in the comics, it seems that the creators at Toybiz took that element to heart. The figure comes with a sword (ode to Wolverine samurai training) and a mask that can double as a ring. I would've preferred for the figure's head to permanently have a mask molded unto it....[See More]
Spider-Man (Multi-Jointed Action Poses) Marvel - Super Heroes (Toy Biz) - Series 3 Rated 5.00 stars by Magneto55 Hand's down, the multi- jointed Spider-Man action figure released in the Marvel Super Heroes line, is arguably the best Spidey to date. Based on the feature, the articulation is above normal. A figure of this sort doesn't really need any accessories, but those who do want weapons etc. will be disappointed. After the other 4 Spider-Man figures released before this, I was kind of hesitant to what Toybiz would finally offer. However, in 1992 this Spider-Man figure was definitely a hot item....[See More]
Superman DC Comics Superheroes (Toy Biz) - Basic Series Rated 5.00 stars by Magneto55 Despite being a re-used mold of the 1984 Super Powers figure by Kenner, the figure itself is actually decent. It's likeness to Superman in the comics is perfect. Also, it comes with a Kryptonite Ring that can cause the figure to fall over (due to the figure having a magnet inside it's chest.) Even though the figure series was frowned upon during it's release, I still think they're very good. Unforunately, the figure is very expensive, costing $50 bucks or more from potential sellers. But if you're a diehard Superman fan or toy collecter, it's definitely worth the buy....[See More]
