DC Super Heroes (Mattel) - Series 6
Rated 4.00 stars by Collector1
About a week ago, I ordered this guy from Buzzy Fret for ten bucks (before shipping of course), which is a steal when you consider what this is being sold for at other sites. Well, I sent him the cash and he shipped it MoC and I recived it today, August 7th, at the same time as the Wetworks Vampire I ordered off the Figure Realm store. I opened him up and was amazed by the clean, smooth paint job done on the S-Shield, boots and belt. The suit is black and the cape is really more gray than silver. The boots are bright and almost reflective. The S-Shield is slightly duller in shade but not enough to detract points. The cape is made of softer, more flexiable material than the previous Supermen toys from the DC Super Heroes toy line and even has the yellow S-Sheild on the back of the...[See More]
Doomsday
DC Super Heroes (Mattel) - Series 2
Rated 4.50 stars by Collector1
In 1993, in the back of Superman comics, a breif one page strip was shown, giving the viewer glimpses of a green gloved fist pounding against a steel wall followed by the words Doomsday Is Coming. Each comics showed the glove tearing slowly with each blow, revealing gray flesh and spiked knuckles. Finally, the wall broke...DOOMSDAY IS HERE! What followed was an epic battle that raged through Justice League and all Superman comics published at the time between Superman and the mysterious monster that was dubbed Doomsday by Booster Gold. Finally, in Superman issue number 75, the battle came to a conclusion. As the two Gods, one evil and one good, delivered simultanious blows to eachother, Doomsday was killed, but at a terrible cost. Superman died. But he would return and so would...[See More]
Man-Bat (Albino)
DC Super Heroes (Mattel) - Exclusives
Rated 4.50 stars by Tom-Tom
Way, way back at Toyfair ’07, fans of Mattel’s DC Superheroes line were given a treat to two of the most anticipated figures in the line: Clayface and Man-Bat, and in April, we were shown pictures of the cardbacks featuring the figures and a few others. Of course, the more time went on, the more things changed. In the Clayface wave, re-releases from overseas were featured: Bruce to Batman, Nightwing, and the Joker were added in as a substitute for Man-Bat, who became a San Diego Comic Con exclusive. Dr. Kirk Langstrom, a scientist specializing in the study of bats, develops an extract intended to give humans the bat's Sonar sense and tests the formula on himself because he is becoming deaf. While it works, it has a horrible side effect: it transforms him gradually into a hideous...[See More]

Batman / Batgirl
DC Super Heroes (Mattel) - 2-Packs
Rated 4.80 stars by Henchmen4Hire

[This is for Batgirl only] I love the mixed designs these DCSH figures have, some of them look like they came right out of a cartoon while some of them are much more realistic. Barbara here has the animated feel but the gloves and boots are very detailed, as if they were real gear someone could wear. Also, the colors are very subdued, no glaring neon colors here, everything is easy on the eyes. Babs is 6 inches of much appreciated plastic. This is a wonderful female figure, even her face looks like a woman's (which is sadly a rare feat to see). The figure is gray with yellow boots/gloves, a color-scheme I don't remember, but fits-in with the Batman figure's color-scheme. My major gripe with this Batgirl figure is that it feels very very fragile like the anorexic Blue Supergirl figure. I...[See More]

1/12 scale, though Mattel, like most companies, take a little liberty with it and don''t make the figures exactly to scale.
Brainiac
DC Super Heroes (Mattel) - Series 4
Rated 4.00 stars by Henchmen4Hire
I’m not digging this Terminator-esque Brainiac design at all, I got used to the Superman cartoon’s purple egg-head design I guess, but this is still a cool figure to display or use for an Ultron custom. Brains stands about 6.5 - 6.8 inches tall, depending on how bendy the legs are on your figure. This thing is ridiculously articulated yet almost none of it is visible thanks to the hyper-detailed robotic design. The paint-job is a huge let-down though, the whole figure is a dull sickly unenthusiastic silver with what looks like a baby-blue wash to darken the grooves, blegh. Nice try, guys. :P Like I said, it’s a very detailed figure, all it needs is a better paint-job to stand-out. The shoulder and cranium are clear plastic domes with circuitry underneath, a pretty cool effect. All...[See More]
Clayface
DC Super Heroes (Mattel) - Series 8
Rated 4.50 stars by Henchmen4Hire
Clayface! Never thought you’d see this day, eh? Mattel is giving us what we want, basic figures with no stupid gimmicky suits, though I think they’re saving those for later, heh. I love the old Batman cartoons, along with the character and city designs, so Clayface is a welcome blast form the past. He’s a hideously nostalgic piece and is even creepier than I remembered him to be. It looks like he should be on Ghostbusters, not Batman movies! Our muddy puddle of preciousness is 7 inches tall. Clayface is top-heavy but the stumpy legs do a great job of keeping him up. I’ve got mixed feelings about this figure. I dig that the arms are rubberized and extremely flexible, but there a lot of different browns on him because different parts are made of different materials, I guess we can pass...[See More]
Cyborg Superman
DC Super Heroes (Mattel) - Series 6
Rated 4.00 stars by Henchmen4Hire
Cyborg Superman is a fun character. He hates Superman, is a gloomy gus, and participated in the near-destruction of all reality after helping create Parallax, cool. Recently he came back with some yellow power rings and earned a much wanted death, but come on, this guy is cursed, he'll be back as a toaster or something in a few months, trying to strangle someone with his cord. If he could stand straight, Hank here would be just under 6.5 inches tall, with legs splayed, he's like 6.2, still about the right size. The only difference between this figure and the normal Superman figure (go read that review too ;) ) is the added sculpted cybernetic bits. The cyber-parts are of course well-sculpted though, very clean lines with silver (not chrome) paint. I don't understand what all those little...[See More]
Batman
DC Super Heroes (Mattel) - Series 8
Rated 4.50 stars by Rocketeer Creations
This is a review of a DC Superheroes wave 8 Batman. The figure is absolutely amazing! Its a repaint of the wave 3 version, but better. First off is the SWEET black paint job, it tops the other two versions by 10 times! I really love the black cape and cowl. Its the way Batman was meant to be. No offense to those few people who liked the blue suit. Next off is the belt, the belt is clearly from wave 1. Personally, I liked the big bulky belt, mainly for the amazing detail put into it. But this belt gives the legs more movement, so its cool for that! The reason I gave it 4 stars was because of the articulation. It also has that HUGE chest which gives it a cartoon look. The face is perfect for Batman, It looks like the classic '80's look, or a Val Kilmer look ( My favorite batman actor next...[See More]

Nice review I want this. Does it come with accessories? Also, I am glad there is someone else who thinks Val Kilmer was the second best Batman!
Kal-El
DC Super Heroes (Mattel) - Series 6
Rated 4.00 stars by Collector1
Mattel fights a never ending battle for cash, laziness, and American Way by trying to squeeze as much money as possible out of a single sculpt. This is a "super" example of this. Sorry for the bad pun. The only thing that separates this action figure from the other Supermen released by Mattel is the shiny new paint job and slightly modified head design. The figure has twenty-one points of articulation enabling a wide array of classic poses. However, the same problem that has haunted the DC Superheroes line is still present. The legs are unable to come close together, forcing the figure into a spread legged stance. The cape is large flexible, though I would not put to much strain on it for fear of the peg holding it on the back would tear. The ankles are oddly shaped. The plastic that...[See More]
