kingdiegondThe relaunch of figures often divides opinions in the community of collectors. And the 50-year-old commemorative collection is full of them. Some do not make sense because they are unattractive figures. Others are relaunching of coveted and rare material, which is the case of Low-Light released in 2011 in the Pursuit of Cobra collection.
Low-Light features everything a modern GI Joe collector could expect. The look goes back to the original 1986 release, but with an upgrade to the present day. From the use of already used molds, passed through the detailing of the jacket to the new head sculpt, the design of the character hits in full. The colors also refer to the classic look of the night shooter.
The jacket slightly limits the joints of the torso, but for a character whose main pose...[

BobTheEggThis figure is so well designed and so detailed that it just figures I had to order it online. Never have found it in a store since then.
He comes with 4 swords and they can connect to be double bladed--how awesome is THAT? And plus, the whole thing is a new look for Storm Shadow with the turban and Manrikigusari chain weapon and all that. One of the thing I admire is the way they did the throwing stars. They go on his legs and never fall off unless you take them off. Plus, he's got this big sheath on his back for all the swords, and a little slot in the back for the shorter blades. He always needs a weapon in his hands, so it's fitting that everything can be stored except the tiger claws, so he can be ready to fight Snake Eyes at anytime in case there is an ambush or something. Also,...[

BobTheEggBeachhead is a pretty great GI Joe. He's got this gigantic, greatly detailed and painting vest that lets him move around very nicely, as well as an absolute TON of weapons. The paint is very nice. I really like, it, and even though he has too many weapons to carry all at once it makes up for the lack of accessories some of my other figures have. Awesome....[

Cobra Commander (Chase)G.I. Joe - Pursuit of Cobra (Hasbro) - Basic Series

HungryCrimsonHead1998Another pretty good GI Joe figure, my first and so far only Pursuit of Cobra figure. To start off getting right to the point, the paint job on this guy is WAY better than the one on the standard RoC version, at least to me. The chromed out face mask is a nice throwback to the old school Cobra Commander, a very cleanly painted Cobra insignia has been added to the back of the coat, and the new shiny red chest plate makes him perfect to display with your RoC Crimson Neo Vipers. That said, many of the problems with the RoC Cobra Commander are carried over here. The coat still hinders his leg movement a little, and the sleeves of the coat are still part of his arm sculpt, completely defeating the purpose of the coat being removable. Additionally, the accessories are few, which is just a...[
