G.I. Joe - Rise of Cobra Reviews

HungryCrimsonHead1998Another really good figure from the Rise of Cobra line. The paint job is top-notch, nice and shiny like it should be, and does not chip easily at all. He's another one of those accessory packed figures that I always end up buying, coming equipped with a removable chest plate, machine gun with a bayonet, a pistol, a pike, a pair of hatchets, a machete, a coral snake, a cage for the coral snake with a removable lid, an over sized rocket launcher with a launching missile, and his display base. But here's the reason I didn't give this guy the full five stars; unlike most Rise of Cobra figures, he has no holsters, backpacks, belts, or anything to hold his weapons except his own two hands. Therefore, it is a bit more difficult to find the right pose for him on your shelf, but this is surely...[

HungryCrimsonHead1998This is an AMAZING figure! Could just be because I'm a sucker for accessories, and this guy has more accessories than any other figure in the line, but still. Once you strip the guy of all his accessories, he's nothing special, but doing that would take time! He comes with a knife which fits into a holster on the side of his leg, a pair of flippers that attach to the backs of his legs, a removable leg harness, all the gear on his torso is removable, a removable helmet (I use the word removable a LOT in this review), goggles that come off the helmet, a sub machine gun, and what appears to be a sniper of some kind with a folding stock and a removable bi-pod and magazine. That's right. The accessory has accessories. His accessories circumvent a TON of his articulation, but once you remove...[

Agent Helix (Covert Ops)G.I. Joe - Rise of Cobra (Hasbro) - Collection 2 - Wave 3

Aca1raven2002Agent Helix is a pretty good figure, even though she wasn't in the movie itself she was in the video game adaption. Good articulation, her weapons are a little goofy and seem like something that might be in a dollar store figure. The launcher is a little bit better because unlike the other figures launchers hers has a satellite dish that goes on the end, I think its pretty interesting. If you notice on her right wrist a little raised spot, its a band-aid. It has something to do with when she marks her spot on a map she uses band-aids to represent herself. But all in all a good figure. 3 out of 5.
Customizer Notes,
I've used the figure several times as a customizer for her head and hair. Its very unique and can be used in tons of instances....[

AzraelOh man, where to start on this thing? It's just 5 dollars worth of AWESOME! I mean, I like every part of this guy. To start, he's essentially psycho mantis in a wig and lab coat, which is cool, and his accessories are flat out amazing! He comes with a briefcase with 3 nuclear reactors inside, followed by two Freddy Krueger type gauntlet claws. His wig, coat, and gas mask are all removable, which leaves a head that looks like a mellowed out, unmasked Deadpool. The figure itself is pretty nice, but since I wasn't a fan of the character, I just bought the toy for the awesome accessories and the possibilities of a psycho mantis. Anyway, this figure is pretty cool, which I've said a million times, so you the reader, must wonder "Why all this praise and only a 4/5?" well that's because coming...[

Snake Eyes (City Strike)G.I. Joe - Rise of Cobra (Hasbro) - Collection 1 - Wave 5

AzraelYup, that's right. I have him, you don't! City Strike Snake eyes is unspeakably fun. Actually, that's not true, if the fun factor was unspeakable, I wouldn't be writing this would I? Anyway, he's got a cool sculpt, I think it's his costume from Resolute, but I never watched it. He comes with a multitude of accessories and weapons that add to the fun, including a grappling hook back pack (it's what I sue it for) swords, guns, and more! His articulation is the same as all the other figures in the line, which is good. He's got an original body, then again, I've never seen a sculpt reused for other characters (something Hasbro has yet to learn when it comes to Marvel Universe figures). This figure isn't just fun to pose, he's fun to play with, something that's great for a collector, because...[

Deathlock66Zartan master of disguise and leader of the dreadnoks biker gang. When we think of Zartan we usually think of a hooded figure who is stealthy as he is dangrous. But in the film he was differnt he was still stealthy clever and dangrous he was also a master of diguise too but he didn't look like the iconic version I mean at least in the end Destro ends up looking like he usally does but Zartan didn't.I mean I quite liked the character for the film he was original in asense but also brought back some parts of the classic character.Zartan was one of the first figures to be realesed for the movie line. The figure iself is ok he is dressed in a pit commando atire with an interchangable head. The headsculpt is quite good and does sport the actor well the only thing is he has two scars coming from...[

Collector1Figure I got a bit of a backlog of figures needed to be reviewed so let's start at the top shall we? I picked this version of Duke up because the Reactive Impact Armor Duke looks way too thin. Even with the body armor removed, this Duke still looks just right. Duke is wonderfully detailed and very realistic. Slavish attention was put into making him as movie accurate as possible. The dragon skin (yes that's what it's called, look it up) body armor can be removed by undoing a pair of clasps on each side and slid up over his head. The helmet as a digital camera and nightvision goggle set up attached to the front of the helmet and can be lifted up or down over the figure's head. The connection feels a little too weak and that makes me nervous when positioning it so I'd advise being careful....[

TheGreyGooseSo hey, I don't need to know squat about GI Joe to know that Snake Eyes is awesome. No matter what. Got that? And this figure is the greatest Snake Eyes ever. What can you give Snake Eyes to make him cooler you ask? A trench coat! This Snake Eyes is better than the regular one for many reasons, but the biggest is that it doesn't have a mouth imprint and moving visor. He has a crud load of articulation and the coat helps with the poses. He comes with all the accessories you need, a sword, a sheath, a gun, a bigger gun, a knife, and a freaking wolf! His paint apps are flawless, and without the trench coat he makes for the perfect fodder body. My only complaint with this figure is that his had are rubber, which while you might think this is good for giving him third party weapons, he holds...[

TheGreyGooseSo there's not much to Storm Shadow, and I don't really know how to open this review, since I honestly don't know much about the guy, and there's not really a story to how I got him, but whatever. HIs articulation is the same as the rest of the figures from the movie line, and he comes with way more accessories than he needs. He comes with his two swords, a weird gun thingy, a big weird gun thingy, a big weird shuriken thingy, and a tiny green dagger which you'll probably lose by the end of the day. He also has a skirt. the skrit limits his articulation in the legs quite a bit, but if you dunk him in boiling water, then pose him, if he stays psoed long enough the skirt will adjust, and it will be pretty flexible for the rest of Storm Shadow's life time. Seeing as how I don't know how much...[
