Halo 3 Reviews
Cortana Halo 3 (McFarlane) - Series 1 - Campaign Rated 2.50 stars by somebody1 More a statue than a figure she is made of clear blue plastic that gets no chance to shine thanks to the 3 LED lights not providing a lot of direct light into her body. It is a good likeness, far better than some I have seen using the ugly version of her from halo 2. A rather expensive figure compared to others in the line as well. Her body is cast in a fairly clear blue plastic with dark blue painted on her as highlights indicating the data streams that make up her "clothing" in the game but otherwise the paint is rather sparse compared to the Cortana in the game. The base is a rather bland disk with 3 LEDS behind Cortana in a roughly triangular pattern that, while blindingly bright, don't focus on her well and doesn't even feature a label saying "halo 3" or anything. There would have...[See More]
Master Chief Halo 3 (McFarlane) - Series 3 - Campaign Rated 5.00 stars by Azrael Let me get this off my chest right away. I hate Halo. I hate any games after the first one, I hate all the Xbox versions PERIOD. I hate the fans, I hate Bungie, and in all honesty I probably hate you for not hating it too. However, I always found myself absolutely LOVING the Spartan's armor designs. And with green being my favorite color, I had to pick up a Master Chief. he's got a great sculpt, which is to be expected since it's McFarlane. Speaking of things Todd McFarlane has done well, he's really pulled out all the stops for articulation. This thing can pull off any pose I could possible imagine, which is great, finally McFarlane has learned how to combine sculpt AND articulation. The paint apps are flawless, and give the figure a great feel. I think my only complaints about Master...[See More]
Spartan Soldier Mark VI (Blue) Halo 3 (McFarlane) - Series 1 - Multiplayer Rated 5.00 stars by TheGreyGoose Well, I'm not that big a fan of Halo, in fact, I couldn't like it less, however, one thing that always kept me looking was the great designs of the Spartans. This was my first figure in McFarlane's Halo 3 5 inch series, and let me say it definitely won't be my last. The articulation is beautiful, pretty much everything you'd expect to have articulation has one more thing than you'd need (expect fingers sadly) I'm happy that the sculpt is different from Master Chief's even if it's not by that much, that means McFarlane didn't take the lazy route and didn't just repaint it and the paint apps are too good, some people need to take lessons on how this guy does stuff because his work is stellar. The Spartan's accesories are not only what you'd expect, but probably everything you'd want. It...[See More]
Master Chief Halo 3 (McFarlane) - Series 1 - Campaign Rated 4.50 stars by Collector1 A day at Wal*Mart toy hunting is usually rather uneventful for me, rarely ever finding something good aside from some Transformers of Marvel Legends. That is, until I saw this nice piece of plastic for only $9.63!
Master Chief, the hero of the Halo story, and the best humanity has at survival is standing tall and proud at 5 and half inches tall.
What drew me to this was it's incredible sculpt and war worn paint job. Each piece is seemingly individually painted with care taken for each shade.
Master Chief is highly articulated, with each joint almost invisible unless you have x-ray vision. This allows for incredible posing.
Now, onto guns! Master Chief comes with very little, only his rifle is included along with a peg that can be inserted into the multiple holes on his back and one...[See More]
Brute Chieftain Halo 3 (McFarlane) - Series 1 - Campaign Rated 5.00 stars by Collector1 From the depths of the Covenant, the muscle that is the Brutes arise to strike fear into the hearts of human armies. The Brute Chieftain is perhaps the most terrifying of the species.
Dressed in heavy duty, and possible ritualistic, armor, The Brute Chieftain the mighty race of warriors into battle wielding the devastating Gravity Hammer, a weapon that can alter the gravity in its immediate area to absolutely pulverize its target.
Looking like a hybrid Rhinoceros and Triceratops, the Chieftain is intricately sculpted with no detail over looked by the Gods at McFarland.
The mouth is left open in a roar, the tongue raised and almost quivering with the power of its silent scream. The eyes are small, and menacingly red.
His helmet beautifully done with the colors blending together...[See More]
