War Machine
Iron Man 2 - 2010 Movie (Hasbro) - Comic Series

The comic variant of the war machine. For such a small figure it has a lot of detail to it including painted on labels. It is pretty accurate to the movie figure and is in scale with the marvel universe line although it probably should be slightly larger since it is taller than most humans. The figure is molded in color with the details painted on and there are a few blemishes on mine but they're hidden by other parts such as being under the arm on the side of the body. The figure shows good articulation with the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees articulated. The two shoulder mounted weapons are also articulated but they hardly ever stay mounted to their holders as the fit is pretty bad on mine but the two "gunfire" inserts do stay very well inside the weapons. The figure comes with a...[See More]

First of all, I would like too, for once, give a big thank you to Hasbro. They actually made a great figure. Now let's get down to business. First off the sculpt is great. It looks just like War Machine does in the movie. It is really detailed even down to the model numbers on him. To my knowledge there are two variations of him the one I got is the movie accurate red eyes, ark reactor, and repulsors. I haven't seen the other one in stores but according to the back the figure is supposed to have blue eye, ark reactor ext. But , enough of that let's go the the articulation. Mr. Machine here has a ball joint head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel arms, double jointed elbows, ball-in-socket wrists, ball jointed (or hinged or whatever hasbro usually does there) mid-torso, tight ball-hinged hips,...[See More]

I was so crazy about the War Machine figure I went back and bought this one as well, despite my initial reluctance. I sort of wish I hadn't. This is a fairly attractive figure, but I had to dig through several to find one with the arc reactor not scuffed. I'm not really impressed with the paint job, it seems like too much red plastic for some reason, but it's okay. This one does have the presence of the War Machine figure, it does not look or feel nearly as substantial, but I can forgive that also, since the Iron Man armor in the movie is much sleeker than the War Machine armor. The articulation on this one is my biggest complaint, the upper torso seems to be placed slightly too far back on the body, and the forward movement is lacking, this is far different than the War Machine figure, I...[See More]

Posted a reply on your War Machine review but didn''t see this one. Yea once you open the War Machine fig the Mk6 fig doesnt compare. Like i said it looks like his arms are too short or his shoulders are to far in or something. I think if that was fixed it might not be too bad of a figure. Good Review

I picked this one up today and WOW! Let me tell you, this is a great figure. This one is actually in my top ten Marvel Legends style figures, maybe even top five. First off, the sculpt is great, it is based on the movie War Machine concept of course, but it also reminds me of War Machine in the Marvel Max series, very cool. Next is the paint application, also nice, I couldn't find any problems with it, and the military style additions are great. The figure is also beefy, it has a real presence to it, and the articulation is typical of the Hasbro Legends line. In my opinion, this figure is far superior to the ML War Machine, and is an all-around great figure, they really hit it out of the park with this one. I was so impressed with this figure I actually went back the same day to buy the...[See More]

This is probably the best figure Hasbro has ever done. My only gripes: It''s still too short in comparison to ML and other figure lines. Also, I think the articulation at the hips could have been engineered much better.

Good review! I agree that this is a great figure but was not to impressed by the Iron Man figure. Is it me or does the Mark 6 IMs arms look to short? Once again good review.
Iron Man (Mark V)

Well, after seeing the second Iron man 2 trailer I had one thing on my mind. Suitcase Mark V armor, Suitcase Mark V armor, Suitcase Mark V armor! I was able to find it on my first go, and I must say, sadly disappointing. His arms can't go all the way up so he can't pull off an "I'm gonna blast your face off" pose. The mold looks good, but it doesn't seem to be painted in all the places it should be, which is honestly disappointing. I'm sad to say that my second purchase int eh Iron Man 2 line wasn't as good as Movie War Machine, my first. However, this figure isn't really a good show of what the line can be, and from what I've seen, this is low tier compared to some of the others. This is a real shame because this is definitely a cool armor. Oh well, I guess I'm going to have to go...[See More]

So let's all just get this off our chests up front. War Machine looks amazing. I mean I never though about how they would make War Machine's movie design, they had a million and two possibilities, but this is just great. Moving on. The figure is great, with a new sort of articulation point for his shoulder guns and removable bandoliers. Other than that it's Wolverine Origins articulation, great sculpt, and great paint. War Machine ahs an open fist and hand, like every other 1:18 figure. But he works because he can pull off the poses with the guns and the more guns and the ahh you get it by now. Basically, this is the first Iron man 2 figure I've purchased and I'm quite happy with it. It's also my favorite War Machine figure yet, but then again, I have yet to get my hands on the...[See More]
