Jurassic Park - Series 2 Reviews
Carnotaurus "Demon"
Jurassic Park - Series 2 (Kenner) - Deluxe Dinos
Rated 4.50 stars by Spino88
Carnotaurus is one of the most sought after, and one of the most expensive Jurassic Park toys, but it's definedly not overrated. This toy has the best paintjob out of all the toys in the Jurassic Park line: It's black with red back and white claws and teeth and green eyes. The toy is simply beautiful. It's mold is great too: You can see every scale on it's body and it's skin is covered with large and small bumps and scales. There are two horns and a lot of small bumps on it's head and even the underside of cover of it's "Dino Damage"-wound has textures like a vein on it. There is only one thing about it's looks that I don't like really like about: It appears to have buck teeth, wich is a little strange. Still, Kenner has definedly put a lot of care into making this toy. Hovever, there are...[See More]
Quetzalcoatlus "Firebeak"
Jurassic Park - Series 2 (Kenner) - Deluxe Dinos
Rated 4.50 stars by Tyrannosaur22
The Quetzalcoatlus "Fire Beak" is probably one of the most sought-after JP toys by collectors. And once you take a look at Fire Beak, you'll know why! For one thing, the windspan of this dinosaur is HUGE! And when you press a button on its back, those huge wings flap. But not only is the overall figure great, but the colors are simply awesome: a red beak (that's where its JP nickname comes from) which blends really well with gray of its body. Finally, the Capture Gear is good with it too. (For The Lost World series, the Quetzalcoatlus "Fire Beak" was repainted and its head was replaced with that of a Pteranodon...) Pachycephalosaurus "Ram Head"
Jurassic Park - Series 2 (Kenner) - Dino-Strike with Capture Gear
Rated 4.50 stars by Tyrannosaur22
This was the third Jurassic Park dinosaur I ever purchased. And still to this day, I've never getten tired of "Ram-Head"! For one thing, its colors are wonderfully done: a darker red with black spots (like the Series I T-rex) with some yellow on the top of its head. It has fun action: when you push a small button on its leg, its head goes down in a ram position with "Head-Butting" action! The pose is good, just normal for this animal, and the capture gear is a good feature. Pachycephalosaurus is great! Tanystropheus "Cobra"
Jurassic Park - Series 2 (Kenner) - Dino-Strike with Capture Gear
Rated 4.50 stars by Tyrannosaur22
Although this figure may not seem like too much, it has probably the most playablility of any action figure produced in a JP line. Everything, and I mean everything is completely articulated. And not only can it move generally, but you can put just about any part of its body into about any position you can think of, like the JP Coelophysis. The color is a little plain, but blends very well together. The sculpt is great, and makes the figure look really good. The Tanystropheus is a classic toy indeed! Lycaenops "Fang"
Jurassic Park - Series 2 (Kenner) - Dino-Strike with Capture Gear
Rated 3.50 stars by Tyrannosaur22
The Lycaenops is a quite common Series II figure. Although just about all are rare, this and "Spitter" are probably the most common. The Lycaenops is a tiger-like animal that is just as mysterious as the figure. The colors are what you'd expect on an animal like this: an orange with black. The action feature is "Saber-Strike" teeth, meaning its mouth opens very widely. Overall, this is quite a good toy, and great for attack dioramas due to its action-feature... Young Tyrannosaurus Rex
Jurassic Park - Series 2 (Kenner) - Deluxe Dinos
Rated 5.00 stars by Tyrannosaur22
The classic Young T-rex is back and badder than ever for Series II! Although most repaints are quite a useless product for must collectors, this is different: the color job is beautiful, meaning that this great repaint. And not only do you get a classic figure with an even cooler coat of paint, it has new Capture Gear! Of course, this is one of the rarest and thus most expensive JP toys ever, so good luck in finding one! Velociraptor "Raptor"
Jurassic Park - Series 2 (Kenner) - Dino-Strike with Capture Gear
Rated 4.50 stars by Tyrannosaur22
Like the Series II Dilophosaurus "Spitter," this is a repaint. But, you can't go wrong with it even if it is a repaint; this is a new version of the Series I Velociraptor. And with new Capture Gear, "Raptor" is better than ever! Sculpt :: 10 -- 10 Colors :: 10 -- 10 Action :: 8 -- 10 Sound :: N/A Capture Gear :: 10 -- 10 Overall :: 9.5 -- 10 (Repaint) ...[See More]
Dilophosaurus "Spitter"
Jurassic Park - Series 2 (Kenner) - Dino-Strike with Capture Gear
Rated 3.50 stars by Tyrannosaur22
When you first look at this toy, the first thing you'll think about is the Series I version. Really, they're the same other than a little difference in color. But with all the Series II dinosaurs, it comes with cool Capture Gear, so the heroic humans can capture the dino! Other than that, each Series II dinosaur has a JP Nick-Name, which for this Dilophosaurus is "Spitter."
