Jurassic Park Dinosaurs (2004) Reviews
Velociraptor / Tyrannosaurus
Jurassic Park Dinosaurs (2004) (Hasbro) - Dinosaur Packs
Rated 4.25 stars by iceIceBa
To be honest. I LOVE this two-pack. However, in terms of sculpts, there nothing special. Being the same JP3 sculpts we’ll see be repainted countless times more. Making this set’s main selling point being the paint jobs present on both figures, which are awesome! The T-Rexses paint job is simple, but it get’s the job done. Although, I would be lying if I didn’t admit that the paint job on the Rex is quite lacking in color variation and is quite silly. Which cannot be said for the raptor’s, who’s paint job looks rather good, and is quite well done (and kind of creepy with those demon eyes, to be 100% honest). 4.25/5....[See More]

Out of all the two-packs in this line. I feel like this set is trying it’s hardest to be something, but it just doesn’t work. In terms of sculpts, there nothing special. Being the same T-Rex and Spinosaur sculpts we’ll see be repainted countless more times to come. The paint jobs aren’t all that special, either. With the T-Rexses being rather boring and kind of ugly. *Sigh* On the bright side, the Spino’s paint job isn’t all that bad, and works for a creature like itself. Even if it’s rather monochromatic. Overall, this set isn’t terrible, but it’s rather weak compared to some other two-packs released by hasbro, and that is saying A LOT. 3.25/5...[See More]

Out of all the two-packs in this line. I feel this one is the trying it’s hardest to be something, but it just doesn’t exactly work. When it comes to sculpts, theres nothing special here. With them being the same Spinosaurus and T-Rex sculpts we’ll see be repainted countless more times. When it comes to paint jobs, the T-Rexses is rather bland, and kind of ugly. While the Spino’s is at least decent, but rather monochromatic. Overall, more effort should’ve been put into this set, but at the same time. It’s FAR from the worst two-pack hasbro’s produced :/....[See More]

Jurassic Park Dinosaurs (2004) (Hasbro) - Dinosaur / Human Packs

My favorite of the Dino / Human packs, this awesome set contains a repaint of the Lost World Junior T-Rex and JP3's Billy Brennan. Like the Trike pack, the human is nothing special but it's the T-rex that I love so much. It is a dark blue with lighter blue matches and stripes along its body and its eyes are a dark red, very similar to the Dinosaur Pack's T-Rex. It's a great sculpt, and with a color scheme like this -- good stuff. It also comes with capture gear: the muzzle and a cast (strangely called shackles) like the first figure. This is great set that any JP fan should have....[See More]

The Triceratops with Dino Wrangler contains repaints of The Lost World's Triceratops along with JP3's Dr. Alan Grant. While the Grant repaint isn't really anything special, it's the Triceratops that will have all the attention. It is a dark brown with patches of lighter brown here and there and its horns are a simple white. Again, a simple color scheme, but a good one. Like the original Trike, when you pull its leg its head raises like its attacking. Pretty cool. The Dr. Grant figure's shirt is white and his pants are brown. Like I said, nothing special but still a pretty cool addition to the set. It also comes with "Capture Gear" (which is Grant's capture hook). All come together to make a pretty cool set....[See More]

Last but no least we come to the Velociraptor / T-Rex pack. This is my favorite of the dinosaur packs. Both dinosaur color schemes (and sculpts, for that matter) are AWESOME!! The pack is made up of the JP3 Dr. Alan Grant's Velociraptor and the JP3 Military General's T-Rex. The Velociraptor looks evil, plain and simple. Most of its body is a dark red (a shade lighter than the Spinosaurus' from the pack mentioned above). Its back is black, along with a thick stripe going across its sides and the underbelly is a dull yellow. Together this pattern of colors makes Raptor look evil. Possibly the greatest of the Dinosaur-Packs subseries. Now, onto my personal favorite - Tyrannosaurus! T-Rex has one of the simplest color scheme out of the whole line. But that doesn't mean anything! His...[See More]

Here we get to my two favorite dino-packs. The pack is made up of the JP3 Dr. Alan Grant's Velociraptor and the JP3 Amanda Kirby's Spinosaurus. Velociraptor is great. A dull yellow covers most of the body. However, its feet, jaws and back are a light brown with lighter-yellow stripes here and there. It sounds simple (and it is) but it's very nicely done. Finally, poor Spino gets great colors! Most of its body is a dark red. Its sail is a jet-black along with a few stripes on its belly and thigh. Around the sail, the tip of its nose, and its underbelly is a yellow. The color blends so well. If you are planning to only get one of the dino-packs, get this or.... ...[See More]

This set contains repaints of the JP3 Amanda Kirby's Spinosaurus and the JP3 Military General's T-Rex. The Spinosaurus really isn't anything special. His body is a sky-blue with a dull (and I mean DULL) yellow underbelly. Its sail and back is brown with a few brown waves here and there. That's it. Like I said, nothing special. This is probably my least favorite color scheme out of the whole line. Now onto the Tyrannosaurus. T-Rex is nicely done. His body is a dessert brown with thick red-orange stripes on the top of his head, coming off his back and going down his sides. It's simple, but I like it a lot. It looks like he's ready to go fight in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Very cool....[See More]

The dinosaur packs are small, so the reviews are going to be small too; there's only so much you can say about a little figures. Now, onto the review... The Spinosaurus / Stegosaurus pack contains the JP3 Military Diver's Spinosaurus and the JP3 Paul Kirby's Stegosaurus, repainted. The Spino's body is a lighter brown. Its sail, back of the neck, and tail is (an almost metallic) blue. There are also blue waves on its arms and thigh. It's different, but still pretty cool. The highlight of the pack, however, is the Stegosaurus. Stego's sides and head is a dark, almost forest green. The top of its head and its armor-plates are a dark brown with a light orange. Finally, the Stego's underbelly is a dull yellow. This is probably one of the most realistic color schemes I think I've ever seen! ...[See More]

Part of the newest and coolest JP series, this set gets some serious stars. The triceratops is the TLW trike repaint. It's colored brown and black with some splashes of light brown. The Alan Grant fig hasn't changed much. It is the JP3 repaint, colored with white shirt and black pants. He also has black gloves and a blue handkerchief. He comes with exact same weapon. New series, new figure- 5 stars ...[See More]
