MoryoA beautiful doll with surprisingly accurate clothing for the price. The dress is quite beautiful, with a separate belt. The face doesn't look entirely like Cate Blanchett, but a repaint could do wonders. The head is a bit on the smaller side, but it's not as disproportional as the Arwen doll. My main complaint is the strangely large breasts that appear pointy and prominent under her gown. All the female dolls of this line seem to have this and it looks quite strange with their loose gowns....[

Prologue Elven WarriorLord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring (Toy Biz) - Series 4

DeaditorIt’s a well articulated figure with lots of accessories and superb detail. He has a removable helmet, a sword a shield a bow, some arrows and a lance. His quiver and it’s strap are also removable and he has a button on the back to have a slashing attack. He has a swivel head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel upper arm with a single joint below and swivel wrists. He also has hinged legs that can go forward and back with a single knee joint and anckle joint so the upper body is more moveable. Overal a decent figure becoming more elusive and expensive as time goes by....[

DeaditorAnother multi pack, how special are Merry and Pippin? You get Merry and Pippin with their Shire cloaks and daggers provided by strider but they are the same basic hobbit figures not great but some detail and basic articulation. The Goblin is fine with fairly good articulation removable helmet, shield and it’s blade. It’s a good three pack but nothing amazing....[

DeaditorIt’s a good idea for a multipack that makes sense to make thigh Isildur would be a more appropriate figure than Gil-Galad seeing as this is the “defeat” of Sauron. What you get is Elendil with his helm and Nardil the sword, Gil Galad with his lance and shield and Sauron with removable fingers and ring as well as a light up eyes feature and he has some lines of dialogue. If you want to have a review on an individual figure see my other reviews of the figures but as a set it’s not a bad one to get....[

Strider (Sword Slashing)Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring (Toy Biz) - Series 1

DeaditorSo this is where the infamous worst aragorn ever found in the fellowship packs comes from. This is possibly the worst figure from the lotr collection. The head is garbage in detail, design and paint apps, the articulation is below average, the sword is pathetically short and he action feature is ridiculous. This figure has an action feature whereby if you place he sword in his hand and squeeze his legs he slashes all over the place like a drunk trying to swat flies. You can also place the sword partially in the sheath and have him draw the sword if it works. His articulation is a swivel head, left arm with a single joint and swivel shoulder and right arm with the same but also a swivel wrist and upper arm rotation because of the feature. His waist swivels and his legs move foreard and...[

DeaditorAs said in my revie if this figure on horseback I’ve never had an issue with this figure it looks good, is well articulated but slightly lacking due to the button stab action and the rubber legs are fine here as allow the detail and you want these on horseback with cloth robes. I’d suggest aiming to get ringwraiths with horses not just single carded figures but if not this is still worth it....[

Gandalf the Grey (Light Up Staff)Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring (Toy Biz) - Series 2

DeaditorThis first Gandalf figure lacks quite a bit but it does have a few passable qualities. I think the staff and detailing like the bag and the robes themselves are done very well. The headsculpt is terrible there’s no denying that and due to the light up feature it lacks articulation but as much as other light up figures seem to. I’m sure many would argue that this figure is the worst Gandalf but for me it’s still the hobbit one. Coincidentally the likeness of this Gandalf is more reminiscent of dumbledore than Gandalf. I’ve not been able to get one of these figures to properly light up byt from what I’ve seen there’s a head variant where the detail is better more like the super poseable Gandalf and two light up colour variants of the crystal in the staff when activated one being green the...[

Uruk-Hai Warrior vs GimliLord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring (Toy Biz) - Multi-Packs

DeaditorWhat you get is the same as a cirith ungol Uruk but with white hand prints and no Mordor logo. The phots are deceptive again as this figure doesn’t come with a helmet as advertised as those are exclusive to Burger King uruks unfortunately and randomly. The figure itself either had a button that raises one arm and then the other alternating or has a place for ones thumb to swivel on its back for the same effect. His sword and shield are both held well and overall the only issue with this Uruk is somewhat lacking arm articulation all scout Uruk-hai figures seem to have. Gimli is of course just the standard Gimli he’s always been with removable helmet and a massive cloak painted blue brown for some reason with throwing axes walking axe and double headed axe included which he can throw by...[

DeaditorWhen Frodo puts the One Ring on in front of five Nazgul including the Witch King, he doesn’t disappear from their sight and he sees them in their true form. The design of this is cool, as a figure though not so much. Using a funky colour pallet of blue white silver and greys this figures colourstion looks a bit silly to achieve the desired effect Toybiz were obviously going for. The articulation leaves much to be desired also being covered in large plastic robes that look silly unless hanging down. The action feature is once again stabbing with the morgul blade, however this time the blade is less goofy looking compared to the witch king figures retractable one, but his weapons are softer and warp easily. So this figure has good sculpting, funky but intentional paint apps, bad...[
