End HulkMarvel Legends (Hasbro) - Fin Fang Foom Series

Collector1Based on the one-shot comic, The Incredible Hulk The End: The Last Titan, End Hulk is suprisingly accurate to the aged and wounded Hulk featured in its dark and soul crushingly depressing pages. Strips of flesh have been torn from his body, exposing pink muscle while veins spiderweb across his form. His trademark purple pants have deteriated into a purple loincloth. Hulk's hair is long and turned snowy white showing that even the Jade Giant susceptiable to old age. Very well articulated, you can even recreate, to an extent, the pose from the cover of the comic.
All but four joints are ratchet joints. The head and abdomin are both swivel hinges and the biceps are just plain swivels. The wrists, knees, hips, and ankles are all ratchet swivels, bringing the total articulation to sixteen...[

Union JackMarvel Legends (Hasbro) - Red Hulk Series

Collector1I had only heard of Union Jack a few times and never actually read a comic starring the Brittish Superhero, but he was alone on the pegs while all the other figures had doubles and tripples, so decided to pick him up. Union Jack has three accesories: a knife, revolver (with tassels. weird), and a removable belt that hold both. Jack has all the basic Marvel Legend articulation, double hinges knees and elbows, ball joints, ect. and has a fairly bland body which would be well suited for most any custom.
The body is actually a little strange to look at with the knees and biceps large and angular, Ed McGuinness style, compared to the rest of it being fairly natural looking. The knees are also rather difficult to work with when trying to make him stand up straight and seem to always be jutted...[

HeartBreakCustomsNathaniel Richards was a scholar born in the 40th century. Bored with the perfection of his society, Richards became fascinated with history and discovered the time travel technology created by one of his ancestors, Doctor Doom and uses his power to be in the Wal*Mart Exclusive Ares series of Hasbro Marvel Legends . Kang comes with a great chest plate for ares and the Kang himself is nearly perfect in every category sculpt ,paint job,and articulation the reason it only got a 4.5 is because the waist is a little odd looking. First off the sculpt on him is great very comic accurate and very well detailed for his armor, helmet and belt. this figure has 26 points of articulation which isn't bad but the lack of accessories kinda something to be desired from Kang. And his paint job is excellent...[

Wolverine (Black X-Force Costume)Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Red Hulk Series

KyatollahFirst of all, let me clarify something. Black though it is, this is NOT the outfit that Wolverine wears in the pages of X-Force. This was based on a variant cover to Uncanny X-Men #381, depicting Wolverine in a look more friendly to the then-upcoming X-Men movie. He never wore it in the actual comics, but it's still a cool look.
Now, I have to say the only reason I bought this figure is that Target dropped the price to $9.99. (I'm sorry, but I refuse to spend $15 on a 6-inch action figure in-store.) That said, I'm impressed.
Relative to the rest of the wave, Wolvie has a wealth of articulation. Standard Hasbro neck, ball-jointed torso, shoulders and hips, double-hinged elbows and knees, hinged ankles, swivels at the wrists, shins, top of the biceps and thighs, and hinges at the...[

Ultimate War MachineMarvel Legends (Hasbro) - Ares Series

ScottrooperFound this guy today. I'm not especially familiar with the Ultimate version of War Machine, but it really is a shame that they made no attempt to match the figure to the artwork displayed on the package. The figure is a complete repaint of the Annihilus wave Ultimate Iron Man, but since I missed that figure, I'm kinda ok with that. But for some reason, Hasbro decided to lower the production value. The helmet is glued on. (you can heat it up and break the glue loose) The face under the helmet is completely unpainted, cast in a semi-soft brown plastic. Paint apps aren't bad at all, there are multiple shades of silver, grey, and black applied. His shin armor is removeable easily. His hands are too big for the body and are posed in a completely rediculous and useless pose....[

flawpunkFor once a nicely done black suit Spidey. The articulation is somewhat pretty good on this one, not as posable as the other Spider-Man figures, but still good. He is very well balanced too, I managed to easily balance him on the rim of a coffee cup and he didn't fall. The best part, his paint. Nicely done this time. He has a more traditional look to him rather than the newer stylings, but he has a BLUE highlight effect to make him look like in the comics. The only Thing I didn't like about this figure is that his head appears to be too small for the neck. All in all this is a great figure to add to your collection. 4.5 of 5 stars...[

Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly)Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Ares Series

flawpunkI got excited hearing about the new Ben Reilly Spider-Man, even though they titled him Scarlet Spider. But there are a lot of drawbacks in this figure. His articulation isn't the greatest, especially for a Spider-Man figure. he can't do any low crouches or very acrobatic poses. His head has the embossed webbing we've all come to know with the movie style figures, and his body doesn't. Yes, his body got a great and crisp paint app, but the two just don't mix well. His hands are in my opinion his worst attribute. They are really, really tiny in comparison. And one is stuck in the traditional web shooting pose. This figure gets a 3.5 of 5 due to the nice paint app....[

flawpunkCrossbones, an interesting new addition to the Marvel Legends line up. The figure stands fairly tall, roughly 7-8.5 inches. The mask detail is very sharp and clean, especially with the paint app. As for the body, it is a re-used Hulkling body with new hands, but has a nicely detailed bullet-proof vest that is removable. The guns of course are also re-used, and don't have holsters to place them. Overall this figure is nicely done. The paint app is very detailed, and the factory dry brushing/wash is cleanly done. This figure gets a 4.5 of 5 due to attention to detail and nicely re-using an old figure....[

Iron Man (Heroes Reborn)Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Ares Series

flawpunkWhen I heard of this Iron Man being released, I was extremely excited, but once I got it, a little sad. The figure is great when it comes to the sculpt. Finally a new sculpt. The detail is great, and even the articulation was fairly well done. The elbows were more of a socket type joint, which adds to the effect when setting up neat poses, and the hands were a lot larger as compared to some of the other iron man figures that had puny hands. But, there is a down side. The ankle's don't have the usual pivot joint that other ML figures have. Instead it had just the simple forward back motion. Not that big of a deal though. On another minute note, there isn't a hole for a flight stand to be inserted. And finally, the one thing that most will notice being it's true flaw..the paint scheme. the...[

Doc OckMarvel Legends (Hasbro) - Sandman Series

Collector1One of Spider-Man's oldest and most feared foes, Doctor Octopus was brought to life and re-imagined in the block buster motion picture, Spider-Man 2. Hasbro brings us a recreation of his look in Spider-Man 2 in a re-release and minor retool of the Doctor Octopus action figure released for the Spider-Man 2 action figure toy line.
Doc Ock is just under six inches and has forty points of articulation counting the "Death Flowers" on his tentacles. His hand are hinged and his wrists are swivel joints. Knees and elbows are your basic double hinges (yeah!). His biceps are socket swivels and the same goes for his shoulder and hips. His head is a swivel joint. Doctor Octopus' ankles, yes his ankles, are swivel joints and the tip of his feet are hinges. The back of the feet are also hinges. Each...[
