Marvel Legends (Hasbro) Reviews
Yellow Jacket (Yellow)
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Blob Series
Rated 2.50 stars by Louw
Hi all. To start off with, as regards to the Yellow Jacket, created by Hasbro, has created some turmoil in my mind. Although Yellow Jacket is part of the awesome group known as the Avengers, he sadly does not look as awesome as the rest of my collection of Avengers. I take Captain America for example and compare him with Yellow Jacket. The Hasbro Yellow Jacket lacks so much detail, not to mention articulation. In my opinion, it is quite sad that Hasbro has decided to sacrifice character detail, such as facial expression, muscle detail, etc, together with even less points of articulation, for the sake of mass production. When I compare Hawkeye, Cap, Vision, etc, with Yellow Jacket, the poor action figure screams "PAINT ME". The dull colors used on the action figure is also a sign of mass...[See More]
Emma Frost
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Annihilus Series
Rated 1.50 stars by Collector1
I want to ask you all, when you buy an Emma Frost Action Figure, do you by it because you want an Emma Frost Action figure or a Joan Rivers Action Figure?! Seriously here folks, Hasbro's rendition of Emma looks more akin to Joan "Walking Cadavare" Rivers than the White Queen from the X-Men comic series. The face is horrible done and looks nothing like her at all! Well, unless she came down with a severe case of food poisoning, then it is spot on. her body is also far to thin. She reminds me of the Barbie toys that you would get from McDonald's Happy Meals. Not that I ever GOT a Barbie at McDonalds...moving on. The elbows are only single hinges, but the biceps can move, but this is pretty much negated by the hard, inflexible cape she has on. Emma Frost has a swivel torso, but no waist...[See More]
Hercules
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Annihilus Series
Rated 4.50 stars by Collector1
Born of mortal woman, Alcmena and seared by the King of the God's, Zues, Hercules was gifted with incredible strength and endurance became a legend on the battle field as he mastered almost all forms of weaponry and became a gifted tactician. For many years he lived on Earth and fought in countless battles until his death via a shirt coated with the poisoned blood of a Centaur he had slain. After his death, Hercules ascended to Olympus and became truly immortal. After becoming bored with life on Olympus, Hercules descended to Earth to find a new challenge. Now, Hercules uses his mighty strength to battle the forces of evil along side the worlds greatest heroes! Hercules stands at just under seven inches. I think its about 6 and 7/8ths inches which is perfect for him. His muscle build...[See More]
Banshee
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Annihilus Series
Rated 3.50 stars by Collector1
Born in Ireland, Sean Cassidy aka Banshee is the heir to Cassidy Keep, a castle in Ireland, and a small fortune. After tragic events led to the death of his wife, Sean was forced to join the sinister group and commit various crimes until he encounters the X-Men who save his life by removing the explosive head band placed on him by Factor 3 and added them in bringing down the criminal orginization twice. Later, he joined the New X-Men as one of the first recruits. This action figure is the second Banshee toy to ever be produced and feautre him in a rough reproduction of the costume worn near the time of his death in the comics. The toy features twenty five points of articulation. His ankles are what I believe to be hinges. Both his knees and elbows are double hinges while his hands are...[See More]
Beast (X3)
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Annihilus Series
Rated 4.00 stars by Collector1
One of Profesor Xavier's first students, Doctor Hank McCoy became a leading geneticist studying the mysterious M-Gene which caused the development of superhuman powers in some people. After a "cure" for the mutant condition is weaponized, Hank left his position and rejoined the X-Men to fight for the future of his species! Beast is highly detailed and articulated, allowing for truly incredible poses in a rather sub-standered line of action figures. The paint is nice and clean on his jacket without any bleeds or smears. The jacket is made of soft, flexiable rubber but does limit arm movement somewhat, so I had to deduct some points for that. Beast's hands are in an open hand position which fits his wild and acrobatic fighting style and also refelcts his inner, peacful nature. Okay, so...[See More]
Hulk (Savage Grey)
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Fin Fang Foom Series
Rated 4.50 stars by wyLun
ahh. grey hulk I gotta say, this is probably the best HML Hulk figure I ever had... like always, this HML figure has all the articulation u expected from getting a hulk figure.. however his Abdominal/abs area thats a ball point u can say.. is very. very good.. most figures have it and it really means nothing, but this figure can basically do a situp lol like another other Toybiz ML that had a hinge Abs articuation... I was very impressed by that... Paint - I love the ppaint job on this dude... very detailed. not just plain grey.. he got some shades of dark grey on him too.. nd I love the blue paints.. no purple for this dude. Sculpt - I love the sculpting.. he looks madddddddddddd... hes bigggggg.. tahts the hulk.. he just looks scary wen u pose him standing straight up w/ his chest...[See More]
Doc Samson
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Fin Fang Foom Series
Rated 4.00 stars by wyLun
FINALLY.. A DOC SAMPSON FIGURE!!!!! where to start.. He's billed at 6'6 380lbs.. so hes a pretty big figure I guess at around 7 inches. I guess hasbro has the idea of Mattel w/ their figures.. just enough articulation... to my count he has about 20 POA, pretty similar to any hasbro marvel legend... a little restriction on the legs tho.. might take some points off for that.. however. it is our first ML Doc sampson so I'll take it. over all I think this figure is OK.. the legs being less articulation kinda bothers me... basicaly the same POA as the HML Namor, but namor legs were better.. but I can't helpt that fact that it is doc sampson and I'm pleased to have him... I think hes fairly sculpted good.. nice big arms, looks like a mother***** u don't wanna mess w/ paint looks good...[See More]
Ultimate Iron Man
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Annihilus Series
Rated 2.00 stars by Collector1
Born with a unique condition that causes and over production of neural tissue, effectivly making him one giant brain, however Antonio "Tony" Stark is cursed with cronic agonizing pain. After being diagnoised with an inoperable brain tumor that could kill him anytime with in six months and six years, Tony decides to make his life count for something and develops the Iron Man armor out of a prototype suit he had built in his youth. This toy trys to reflect that version of the Iron Man suit, but doesn't do it very well. The toy is far slimmer than what the comic depicts with a diffrent chest design and arm guns. The Antonio head underneath is badly painted and looks crosseyed. Add in a far to short left leg, this figure falls flat on its face. One of the few good things about the...[See More]

I doubt that I would even encourage a completist to get this piece of crap. About the only thing this figure has going is that you can use the BAF part to complete Annihilus, that and the removeable helmet that is getting a lot of mileage as a "Punisher" helmet.
Annihilus [Build-A-Figure]
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Annihilus Series
Rated 4.50 stars by Collector1
From within the depths of the Negative Zone, a great and terrible shadow reaches out to devour our Universe! Weilding the powerful artifact, the Cosmic Control Rod on his crest, Annihilus is the Living Death that Walks! Talks pretty big for a relitivly puny Build a Figure, doesn't he? It took me quite some time to complete this bugger, having to order the Hercules over the interwebs to get the last peice, but it payed off! The first Build a Figure from Hasbro is smaller than those previously produced, but still in scale with the rest of the line. Each of his fingers, with the exception of his thumb, has individual articulation. Annihilus' hands can move back and forth at his wrists. His elbows are double-hinge joints with a cool little spike coming of the elbow itself. Unsuprisingly he...[See More]
Spider-Man
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Sandman Series
Rated 4.00 stars by Collector1
Back when Spider-Man 2 was released, a toy that I absoultly adored was put out as part of the toyline. Coming with a wall mounted base made to look like a bulletin board advertising a copy of the Daily Bugle from the first Spider-Man movie, it had massive articulation and a stunning paint job. However, this was later smashed to bits by a high fall and weak sides. This is essential the Super-Posible Spider-Man from the Spider-Man 2 toyline with a knew paint job and a horrible malformed left knee. Instead of a deep red, this Spider-Man has a bright pink colorization and light, silver paint on the webbing instead of the black on the original. A few coats of paint and some patience will fix this. Possesing a massive anount of articulation and tight joints, this is almost perfect. Until...[See More]
