Marvel Legends (Hasbro) Reviews
Ultimate Iron Man
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Annihilus Series
Rated 4.00 stars by thejuggernaut
"Born with a chemical mutation that enhanced his intelllect to superhuman levels, but cursed with chronic pain, Tony Stark is a tireless genius. Among the most brilliant of the amazing technologies he has developed is the powered armor the world knows as Iron Man. As the invincible crime fighter, he fills the triple role of billionaire industrialist, head of security for Stark Enterprises, and founding member of the worldwide crime fighting enterprise The Ultimates. Despite it all, he remains plagued by personal demons, for within the armor that grants him his incredible strength he is a man like any other, and more haunted than most." Before I start this review, I just want to say that this figure is really awesome, pretty much like the Marvel Selects Ultimate Iron Man. Sculpt: This is...[See More]
Thor
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Blob Series
Rated 4.50 stars by Henchmen4Hire
I know, I'm almost broke and here I am buying more toys to review. Like you wouldn't buy a Thor figure at first sight! Pfft! The Odinson towers at 7 inches tall. According to the package, he's supposed to be 6-foot 6-inches, which means he's supposed to be 6.5 inches, so technically he's half an inch too long, but when was the last time a guy complained about that, right? Moving on...Thor is muscle yearning to explode in a berserker's fury restrained only by scale-armor and silvered chains...and stretchy pants. Really though, who made his suit, the poor guy doesn't have a zipper or any laces to undo for when he must succumb the Call of the Nature. The folds in the pants are great though, they definitely add to the realism. The attention to detail overall is spectacular, it's just too bad...[See More]

Aye verily! It''s a improvement over the well sculpted but too small WM wave Thor!
Emma Frost
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Annihilus Series
Rated 2.00 stars by boskoes
This is my first review, so bear with me. I Ben and I (Danielle) have been collecting Marvel Legends since series 1, we have them all! I was totally disappointed when Toy Biz decided to turn over the reins, and tried to be hopeful that the integrity of the toys would not be compromised. Well for me they really missed the mark with this one, it's hard to even let her stand next to the rest of the Marvel Legends. The body, isn't really the problem for me, but with that head it's hard to tell, (shes like one of those people who loooks good from behind). I can't believe that whoever sculpted this face would let it go out like that. Emma Frost is supposed to be the epitimy of beauty, this one looks like she should be cartin' a kid on her hip have a beer in her hand, and a cigg hangin' out of...[See More]

I agree, this figure''s head is just plain ugly imo. I also think they should have went with a larger (original) body sculpt.
Juggernaut (X3)
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Blob Series
Rated 4.50 stars by thejuggernaut
I'm the Juggernaut, [BLEEP]! Well, actually, I am. "Cain Marko is the step-brother of Charles Xavier, the leader of the X-men. While serving in Vietnam, Marko, out of cowardliness, hid in a cave where he discovered the Gem Of Cyttorak. As soon as he touched it, he became a human Juggernaut, with arms as wide as an oak tree's trunk. The cave collapsed, leaving Marko for dead... ..Or so we thought." That's the comic origin, in the movie, it didn't really explain his origin, just passed him off as a mutant to save time. This figure is a giant. He's one of the bigger ones that Hasbro put out, among with Thor, Planet Hulk, and Hercules. Put him beside the Toybiz Juggernaut, he looks nothing more than 6". The sculpt on him looks really, kind of simple from far away, but when you look at...[See More]

Hi!
Who would you be?
Tom-Tom? Yo? Monkey Man?
Banshee
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Annihilus Series
Rated 2.00 stars by greymonk
Coming to a clearance rack near you is Hasbro's rendition of the Banshee. Hasbro seemed to deliver a promising start with figures like Planet Hulk and Hercules but where on earth did this figure come from? In the package the lonely figure stands arms sprawled with spandex wings skillessly draped on each side. As I approached the hanging peg, I thought to myself, all he needs is a guitar and he'll look just like one of those hair bands from the '80s. The packages I saw at my local Target were littered with greasy fingerprints from popcorn munching onlookers carelessly lifting the package to see if other figures were behind it on the peg hook. The paint job would stand out first on the figure, if it were anything more than mediocre. Hasbro got the colors right and sadly that's about as...[See More]
Planet Hulk
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Annihilus Series
Rated 4.50 stars by greymonk
Included in Hasbro's first wave of Marvel Legends, is the not so jolly green giant we all know and love. This time he's back with a vengeance as the star of his own series "Planet Hulk". Hasbro hit the ground running with this 7.75" monsterpiece and delivered what looked like a promising future with Legends. Naturally this was all an illusion. In Hasbro's haste to release the series on time, they failed to create the Planet Hulk with the proper Manacae (that arm armor thingy) and so the first few thousand or so Planet Hulks off the line had two green arms. Hasbro quickly and callously responded to this error by replacing the left arm with a Silver arm molded from silver plastic. Sadly, that's precisely what you get, the same left arm that used to be green but now it's cast in silver...[See More]

I agree, my only real gripe is the lack of weapons. The gave them that huge Roman shield but nothing else. I plan of finding him a sword and spear.
She-Hulk
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Blob Series
Rated 4.50 stars by Henchmen4Hire
So, she's gorgeous AND she can cook? Sweet! What?...what do you mean she's green?... YES. That's it, best figure ever made...almost. 7 inches of HOT, and a little taller if you count her hair...HOT. But seriously, this is a great figure, maybe even the best of the bunch, but I haven't seen the Thor, Juggernaut, or Xorn yet to decide. The detail on the suit and shoes is perfect, the paint job is flawless, and she's also pretty to boot. The suit is painted with dirty-white (slighty dark white) and metallic-lavender, complimented with stitches and seams and wrinkles and a great pair of legs. There's really no major flaw in this figure, the body-sculpt is awesome, the scale perfect (I think, I've never read a She-Hulk comic!), and she's got a great smile! The green eyes and painted lips are...[See More]

But thats what God in his infinite wisdom made us customisers for Mael
I like the look of her - but wouldve liked a little chunkier mucles on the calves, thighs and arms - even on muscular women this is their best featureif done correctly
A recent Wonderwoman I seen from DC direct had better thighs than this
But saying that this looks like a Gamma irradiated 70s Tina Turner to me - so i can dig it

Great and acurate review, there were a couple of things about this Shulkie that I was a little disappointed in though: the lack of a shoulder/bicep articulation and the way the hip joints were articulated. Hasbro could take some notes from Jakks Pacific on how to articulate hips. True, you can just about move her into any pose, but you have to make sure that the ball joints are turned the right way. Yes, the elbow joints kind of solve the lack of shoulder/bicep joint, but this figure would have been so much more awesome with the added articulation! Oh, Yeah, I''m not too fond of the "Barbie" hands either. Like you said, an extra closed fist/s would have been a great accessory for this figure. Overall, a great, sexy, Shulkie, and this is the first female face that Hasbro has done in this series that did not look like some kind of butt-ugly alien or something. Like Dr. Nightmare, I think Shulkie and Thor are the only ones worth getting. Sadly, Thor is the only one I have not been able to find.

Jean Grey (X3)
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Blob Series
Rated 3.50 stars by Henchmen4Hire
Yessss! Finally a Jean Grey! I mean, finally another Jean! Too bad she has Emma-syndrome... Famke stands about 5.75 inches tall, in-scale with the other X-Men movie figures (I assume!). Like all women, Jean is pretty in a certain light, and hideous in another. The face is okay, it resembles the actress, but she really does look hung-over, as I've heard a thousand-fold before I got this chance to actually hold her in my hands, it's all in the eyes. Only the eyes, lips, and buckles on the suit are painted. I love the hair though (definite custom fodder!). The suit's design I also like, the boots look great, but the upper-body was botched. The figure's sleekness is ruined by the articulation. The waist is fine but the upper-body turns and tilts forward and back just under the breasts,...[See More]

Quicksilver (Blue)
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Blob Series
Rated 3.50 stars by Henchmen4Hire
I really hate that there isn't more to say about these new ML figures, but they're just so bland. :( And while I'm complaining, the pictures on the package show a DARK BLUE suit, the actual figure is LIGHT BLUE. What the hell, Hasbro? Pietro stands about 6 inches tall and the head looks pretty good! It resembles a young Magneto, evily handsome. He has an intense look in the eyes and has two hair "flares" (almost like wolverine) but smaller and rounded-off so kids don't poke an eye out. As Hasbro has decreed, this fig has minimal paint. Only the eyes and brows, hair, and white lightning bolts are painted. The lightning is sharp and crisp, but I'm sure someone had to have botched a job somewhere, inspect before you buy. The basic body is a Captain Marvel with different hands; they are,...[See More]

Yellow Jacket (Yellow)
Marvel Legends (Hasbro) - Blob Series
Rated 3.50 stars by Henchmen4Hire
I don't know why Hasbro doesn't have all their figures painted entirely, I see awesome paint-jobs based on the small areas they decide to loosen the purse-strings on. The Bald Hornet stands 6 inches tall, and most of it is head, hah. It's probably just an illusion from having a smooth head, but his head looks too big. YJ has the same basic body of Captain Marvel (or Moon Knight, same thing) with different hands, right clenched, left open (like it's reaching out to something). The head is black with the Superman-chin, eyes, and yellow ear-things painted. The black on the chest, the yellow belt with gold buckle, and the chest-wasp (it's a little blurry) are also painted. The big black neck-things are stiff but flexible (lol). This figure (and the Quicksilver) looks pretty generic, I wanted...[See More]

You could use his head to make a Hydra goon out of him since he already has the bulging eye goggles.
I was surprised that they used the same Cap Marvel / MK / Bullseye style body considering that they used a different, less articulated body for Banshee, Xorn and Ult. Wolverine. Maybe ToyBiz had the design and molds unfinished and Hasbro just went ahead and used them.
