Marvel Legends Showdown Reviews
Captain America
Marvel Legends Showdown (Toy Biz) - Battle Booster Packs - Series 2
Rated 4.00 stars by daredevil96's Sidekick Studio
I'm not crazy about the Marvel Universe scale though I do have quite a bit. I thouht I would pick up the Showdowns Captain America at the Dallas Comicon. He has a decent face sculpt which I think is a ML Bullseye shrunken down. The middle torso attaches to the pelvic region and can be easily removed. I like the pattern of scales on his chest, very nicely done! His sheild is huge and can be clipped to either arm with ease! I somewhat prefer the showdowns over the MUs, they're like tiny Marvel Legends. Thank God they're not by Hasbro........[See More]
Punisher
Marvel Legends Showdown (Toy Biz) - Battle Booster Packs - Series 1
Rated 5.00 stars by necornaut
Usually I review the older toybiz figures but this series is something special. Superhero Showdown is what 1:18th inch scale super heroes should be but hasbro can't live up to the quality, that being said lets get down to business with this figure. The Punisher is a great figure to start your collection with period, what makes this one more compelling to purchase in comparison to it's Marvel Universe counterpart is the amount of articulation. It has as much articulation as it's marvel legends counterparts and the distribution of the body is great. Also it makes an excellent base figure for customs, and at a decent price too. The sculpted details on this figure are also a nice touch, especially the belt, boots, and gun. Sure the gun isn't removable but I really don't see that as too much...[See More]
Spider-Man (Spider-Sense)
Marvel Legends Showdown (Toy Biz) - Battle Booster Packs - Series 2

Hey Hasbro, guess what? I never get tired of saying this, but EAT YOUR HEART OUT, TOY BIZ BEAT YOU AT THIS YEARS AGO!!! That's right, try putting a Marvel Legends SHowdownS pider-Man side by side with MU Spider-Man and you cans ee the difference in quality. Not only is the articulation better, but MLS Spidey's knees aren't on his shins! He has as much articulation as a Marvel Legends figure, which is why I love this line. His height is definitely in proportion, he stands at the same height as MU Black Spider-Man. And oh my god his sculpt is downright godly. Spider-Man has every proper detail, perfect eyes, perfect symbol, perfect webbing. Hell, even the paint apps are good, sporting perfect colors and paint. Gotta love it! I'm trying to think of a problem I have with this figure, but I...[See More]
Dr. Doom
Marvel Legends Showdown (Toy Biz) - Battle Booster Packs - Series 2
Rated 5.00 stars by TheGreyGoose
While some may say that Toy Biz wasn't ready to make a 3 3/4 line when they made Marvel Legends Showdown figures, Dr. Doom pretty much shuts all of them up. Dr Doom is everything Marvel Universe figures are and more. He has the same amount of sculpting and detail as a Marvel legends figure, albeit a little less articulation, he has some great paint apps, and he's capable of pulling off some poses that make him look like he's ready to serve up some DOOM! I have this figure standing in fornt of me right now, and honestly, I don't think that Hasbro's Marvel Universe Secret Wars 2 packs Dr. Doom figure is going to be able to beat this guy. He looks just like the first Marvel Legends Dr. Doom, and that's a good thing. Honestly, this figure is just another reason Toy Biz should still be doing...[See More]

Marvel Legends Showdown (Toy Biz) - Battle Booster Packs - Series 1
Rated 3.00 stars by boskoes
I think that the sculpting on him is really great being so small they really did a great job with detail. The only real problem I have is that they all are super fragile, as soon has you play with them, they seem to fall apart loosing arms and legs. I think they could be a little more sturdy. His costume is cool especially the boots, and the hair sculpt is perfect....[See More]

I bought a few Superhero showdown figures once they went on clearance. The figure iteslf is okay but I really hate the bike that came with him, it''s far too small.

They crumble apart in your hands? I never got into them because for one, the price was outrageous for such a small figure (8 dollars!?) and I didn''t think they''d be around too long because of that so I''d never complete a collection.
