Marvel Select Reviews
Spider-Man (Zombie)
Marvel Select (Diamond Select) - Basic Series
Rated 3.00 stars by TheGreyGoose
Marvel Zombies, cool book, cool characters, pretty "meh" figures. I picked up Zombie Spider-man from my local comic book shop the other day, and let me say, he is kind of disappointing. For once Marvel Select has managed to be outdone by Hasbro (ugh). The articulation isn't as good, and while the sculpt it superb, spectacular even, they have him sculpted in a way so that all poses look pretty awkward. I really want to like this figure, I really do, but it's just not happening. It's not that I hate it, in fact, I wish I could love it, but I can't. Every thing about this figure, every single thing, is just awkward and clumsy, even the base doesn't have the same apocalyptic feeling that the other figures do, it does a great job translating the comic into plastic, but beyond that it doesn't...[See More]
Colonel America (Zombie)
Marvel Select (Diamond Select) - Basic Series
Rated 5.00 stars by Vash_15
Occasionally, when the normal mall doesn't meet my needs, I head over to a bigger one, and that bigger mall has a Books-A-Million. I've been going to that Books-A-Million since before I started collecting figures, and whenever I went there, there was a Zombie Colonel America, me being a fan of Marvel Zombies, I gave it a glance or two before walking out, but it was a little too much for me. However, the last time I went before summer, it was on sale for $10 dollars, whipping out my wallet, I found 10 dollars, and 60 cents. Doing the math, I was shocked to find I had exactly enough, and I must say, I am happy with my purchase. Articulation is a plenty on this one, and in addition to being my first Marvel Select figure, it was also my first Captain America figure, so I was flabbergasted by...[See More]
Anti-Venom
Marvel Select (Diamond Select) - Basic Series
Rated 3.75 stars by Vash_15
For those of you who don't read comics, Anti-Venom is Eddie Brock, Venom is Scorpion, Superman is Clark Kent, Batman's parents are dead, so on to the figure. Anti-Venom is my second Marvel Select figure, my first is Marvel Zombies Colonel America, and let me say. I'm loving him. His sculpt is flawless, the attention to detail is amazing, and even the spikes can scrape your skin while still being rubber. While the paint goes off at certain points, you'd have to be looking for it to notice. The articulation is decent, but it's missing something, I just can't put my finger on it. He doesn't come with any accessories, but I wouldn't expect him to, though he dies come with a great diorama, in fact, even without Anti-Venom, the diorama looks cool. While he looks great, Anti-Venom isn't high on...[See More]
Ultimate Hulk
Marvel Select (Diamond Select) - Basic Series
Rated 3.50 stars by Collector1
Bruce Banner, a brilliant scientist working for S.H.E.I.L.D., never intended to become the greatest threat to National Security in the history of the United States. But pushed to his mental limits be stress in his work to recreate the Super Soldier Formula that created the World War II hero, Captain America, Bruce injected himself with the experimental serum and was transformed into the massive, unstoppable juggernaut that is the HULK! Marvel Select brings us a rather...poor rendition of this Incredible monster. With only six points of articulation, Ultimate Hulk is very limited in posing options. He can move at his neck, shoulders, waist, and legs. The Ultimate Hulk is hunched over with bent knees and permanently bent elbows. Instead of the traditional purple pants, Ultimate Hulk...[See More]
Ultimate Carnage
Marvel Select (Diamond Select) - Basic Series
Rated 4.99 stars by eminem
Ultimate Carnage is a result of Dr Curt Connors DNA mixed with Peter Parkers. After he escaped carnage went on a killing rampage. He also killed Gwen Stacey. I have always wanted this figure and soon as I saw it and I got on Christmas. (So happy:D) This has to be one of the best figures around at the moment. Ultimate Carnage stands at 7.1 inches tall. The bad thing about this figure is its not that flexible, sure his leg bent arms moved but he couldn’t crouch right down or move his head at all. But his wrists are moveable and the detail is amazing. His tendrils are coming out of his back, his head and his arms and legs. His head is not made out of plastic but rubber. weird??? His eyes are quiet threatening, but his teeth are not. Carnage has not got as many muscles as he could have....[See More]

Black Widow 2
Marvel Select (Diamond Select) - Basic Series
Rated 4.50 stars by modern_messiah
I was in my local TK Maxx shop when I came across this marvel select black widow 2. It was only ?4.00, and I thought I'd buy it. I was a bit confused why it was a blonde black widow with short hair- then I looked at the back. It seems as though she is the second black widow. The casing was brilliant - it gave you that 'I've got a good one this time' feel, and I was impressed with the detail and accessories. Black Widow comes with an ak-47 and handgun- exactly the same ones that come with Ml punisher, but I don't wind. She also comes with a removable dagger and holster for those 'Haha, she's unarmed, let's get her! AAh ghuh... Knife.instomach...unh.' situations xD. I don't mind the lack of articulation - it's easy to see she's for display purpose only. The hands are non dexterous -...[See More]
