Accessory Set
Back to the Future (Neca) - Ultimate Collection
Rated 5.00 stars by RMaster007
While NECA's Back to the Future line started off strong, it's been dying down as of late. We only got two figures last year, but last year also saw a limited pre-order for a NECA Store-exclusive accessory set. I went ahead and ordered it, cause why not? The sets are shipping now, earlier than the initial intended Q3 2023 release. NECA's accessory sets tend to be in windowless boxes, but with this specific set, it's packaged in the Ultimate-style box with opening flap. Said flap depicts the flux capacitor (I believe), and there are shots on the inside and back of the inclusions in use. There's some tape and a single plastic strip, and it's all easy to remove and get open. The main draw of the set is scientist's best friend: Einstein. Standing - or sitting in this case - a smidge over 3"...[See More]
Doc Brown (1985 Version)
Back to the Future (Neca) - Ultimate Collection
Rated 4.75 stars by RMaster007
I'll admit I haven't really been collecting NECA's Back to the Future line. After I got Biff, I was somewhat satisfied and tapped out of the line. The front of the box is designed after the plutonium case, coming from the scene where Doc has this specific get-up. It also specifies that this is the third Doc by NECA, not that that's really important, though. There's some tape and plastic ties to remove, and once those are out of the way, it's easy to get everything out. Doc Brown's sculpt is done by both Jason Frailey and Kyle Windrix, but it's not specified who did what on the figure....[See More]
Marty McFly (1985 Version)
Back to the Future (Neca) - Ultimate Collection
Rated 4.50 stars by RMaster007
2020 has been all sorts of crazy. Wildfires, COVID, protests against police brutality, and of course, the election. While this year makes us wish we could go back in time, one positive is that plenty of toy companies are in full force, especially NECA, who announced earlier this year that they got the license to Back to the Future in celebration of the original film's 35th anniversary. Some new ultimate figures are hitting stores now, including Marty McFly from both part I and II, and the bully Biff Tannen, and a Target-exclusive "Tales from Space" Marty as well. Here, I'll be looking at the part I Marty. All of these figures cost about $30 each at most stores, and shouldn't be too hard to find. PACKAGING (Unlike my previous reviews, I won't be doing scores for each category) The...[See More]
