Revoltech Reviews
Trigun - Nicholas D. Wolfwood
Revoltech (Kaiyodo) - Basic Series
Rated 5.00 stars by durge12
Get him. Even if you know nothing about Trigun, get him. Of the few modern Revoltechs I've encountered (Vash and Fraulein Asuka being the other two) Wolfwood is leaps and bounds ahead and he offers literally everything you could want from him and more. As is expected of all figures from the far east, Wolfwood comes with a pile of spare parts including fists, gun-holding hands for use with Assemble Borg, gun holding hands with Wolfwood's pistols molded into them, a hand to hold his cross in firing position, an additional hand to hold the piece of plastic used to carry it over his shoulder, a hand to hold one of two tiny cigarettes (Kaiyodo says smoking is okay kids! *note sarcasm), a hand to pose with to look like he is stroking an imaginary beard (fangirls beware- this is fanfic worthy...[See More]
Trigun - Vash the Stampede
Revoltech (Kaiyodo) - Basic Series
Rated 4.50 stars by durge12
'If you like Trigun then there is no good reason for you not to own this figure' is how I shall start this review because it is true- Revoltech Vash is everything I wanted from a posable Vash and pretty much everything I wanted from a modern Revoltech release. Perfect he is not but i'll get onto that. He comes with everything you'd come to expect from a japanese action figure- 3 faces, 10 hands, 2 different effects parts, 2 display stands- one of which being an extended version of the classic Revoltech stand and a little orange box to store all of the hands and faces. He is articulated up the wall with revolver joints present in his neck, torso, waist, shoulders, elbows, wrists, thighs, knees, ankles and even in his coat tails. Some joint swappage is required for the additional hands...[See More]
Macross - Strike Valkyrie VF-1S (Movie)
Revoltech (Kaiyodo) - Basic Series
Rated 4.50 stars by Collector1
Most people would be familiar with Roy Focker from the 1980's animated series Robotech which was an almagram of three diffrent anime series Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Southern Cross, and Genesis Climber Mospeada. Roy Focker originated from the series Macross and his personality toned down to just being a womanizing, hard drinking ace fighter pilot instead of a womanzizing, hard drinking, abrasive, over all jerk@$$ of an ace fighter pilot. This particular design for his customized Variable Fighter is apprantly based of its apperance in the movie Macross: Do You Remember Love? acording to the information written in English on the box. It's about 3-3/4" tall and, in true Macross style, has more missiles and ammunition than God. Two forarm mounted duel missile launchers, four...[See More]
Overman - King Gainer
Revoltech (Kaiyodo) - Basic Series
Rated 4.50 stars by Collector1
Tipped of on a big sale by Jin, I went to one of the stores he listed and found several Revoltech figures for sale. The Eva Unit 1 was sold out, so I went with King Gainer, impressed with the detail and design. That and Robot Dredlock. All right, on to the review. King Gainer is roughly three and a half inches tall and features the product named Revoltech style joints that were emulated in the Robot Replica sub-line of the Transformers Movie toy series. The Revoltech joint is essential two interlocked semi-circles with pegs on each of them. These are perfect for allowing interchangeable limbs and hands. King Gainer has twenty-two points of articulation and is capable of some very incredible poses by virtue of specially cut joints and the Revoltech joint that would other wise be...[See More]
