Batman - Hush Reviews
Ra's al Ghul Batman - Hush (DC Direct) - Series 3 Rated 4.50 stars by Henchmen4Hire Ras stands at about 6.5 inches of raw sexy manhood. The chest-hair, the flowing mane, the nipples, his giant sword, all scream fertility, even the grey streaks in his hair sing of his greatness. I love the sculpt in this figure, it's slender and yet it gives the impression of brute force trying to hammer-out from underneath the surface, skin taught tightly around chiseled muscles. The stance is relaxed but it is the stance of a swordsman, always ready to leap into the fray. The face is stern, unforgiving, demanding obedience with every glare. This guy is flawlessly painted, it's unbelievable. But believably, the coolness comes at a price, the arms don't move much. They're supposed to move around because they're ball-socket joints, but they refuse to move out to his sides, the most you can...[See More]
Commissioner Gordon Batman - Hush (DC Direct) - Series 3 Rated 4.00 stars by Riverius242 I'm not exactly a fan of Batman series nor DC comics but the moment I saw this action figure I knew I want to add this to my collection ..
and I'm glad I listened to myself
<<>> le good <<>>
An action figure of a middle-age man in a trench coat that comes with a gun..
what's not to like?
<<>> le bad <<>>
the eyeglasses was more of a burden than a blessing, keeps popping off his head
no matter how well you fit it and it's VERY, VERY EASY to break
//
this DCD Commissioner Gordon may strike you as a "generic" looking figure in first glance..
but pay more attention, and you'll see it's got plenty of good things in it..
and perhaps its simplicity is its beauty..
nothing fancy about commissioner Gordon's outfit..
(tie, shirt, trousers, trenchcoat, yawn..)
but really, it takes more...[See More]
Looks more like Commisioner "Pennyworth"?
Superman Batman - Hush (DC Direct) - Series 2 Rated 4.50 stars by Collector1 Right of the bat, no pun intended, the figure struck me as a dramatic and very accurate representation of Jim Lee's art. Once out of the package, I took a deep breath of that wonderful new DCD Toy smell.
In better light and under a more scrutinizing eye, I still found virtually no flaws. The muscle mass was just right and not exaggerated. The arms were flesh tone, painted blue, while most of the body and legs where blue plastic painted red or yellow.
The Kryptonite veins or vines on the hand and neck were a nice touch, but when I first saw them thought they were mold. The cape is one of my favorite bits. The wind swept and tattered look is very dramatic.
My only complaint is the pole that fits into his back and the base. While it stays upright and firm for maybe a day, it quickly...[See More]
Poison Ivy Batman - Hush (DC Direct) - Series 1 Rated 5.00 stars by Henchmen4Hire The good folks at DC like to screw with us and give us beautiful action figures that are all completely out of scale with each other, even within the same series! And although this may annoying to DC collectors, it is a god-send to the Marvel Legends fans. Odds are there is at least one perfectly 6-inch DC figure in one line or another. The Huntress from the Hush line was perfectly in-scale, and so is this Poison Ivy!
Pamela stands 6 inches tall and a little taller if you count her long, flowing, orange-red hair. The hair is well-painted and high-lighted but it has the same problem some of the female Marvel figures have (like Elektra), it looks like a bunch of flowing spaghetti instead of real hair. It's still pretty though, just like the face-sculpt. The eyes on DC figures are amazingly...[See More]
Huntress Batman - Hush (DC Direct) - Series 1 Rated 4.00 stars by Henchmen4Hire Well what d'ya know, a beautiful DC figure that is actually 6 inches tall! No need to modify Huntress in any way to match your Marvel scale. What I find surprising is that you don't have to pay an arm and a leg to get her, unlike that ridiculously expensive Nightwing from the same Hush series (it looks great, but yikes! $40 and up!? No way!). You can still find her for 9 to 15 dollars in stores.
Helena Bertinelli (what is it about heroes with Italian backgrounds that makes them want to PUNISH everyone? :D ) stands 6 inches tall, and a little taller if you count the mask-spikes. She has an elegant face, but aren't her eyes supposed to be blue, not purple? (maybe she's wearing contacts?). The...[See More]
Batman Batman - Hush (DC Direct) - Series 1 Rated 5.00 stars by TMB "When the mysterious Hush swoops into Gotham City, Batman is forced to cut a swath through his famed Rogues Gallery with the aid of his closest allies in a desperate search for the masked villian's true identity!"
I recently purchased the HUSH Batman figure.(After searching and searching...and searching) This figure is the perfect likeness of Jim Lee and Scott Williams vision. From his trademark bat logo to his cowel, cape and boots, this figure is a must have. This figure although it doesn't have a complete range of motion as far as articulation, is perfect for display or play. This figure has 9 points of articulation, The head moves in just about any direction, It has joints in the knees, elbows, shoulders. It has an interchangable hand and a very cool old style base with pegs for...[See More]
