Star Wars - Power of the Force II Reviews
Tie Fighter
Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner) - Vehicles
Rated 5.00 stars by Mr-X
The TIE fighters were the backbone of the Imperial Military. Sleek ships capable of attacking most fighters, they did have downfalls though. In attempts to save money and to possibly deter any pilots from deserting the ships were devoid of life support, hyperdrive and landing gear. Sounds like the Imperials really meant business when dealing with their own men. All the vehicles in the SW line were produced well, both big and small ones. All of them were nicely detailed, fit to scale and had lots of playability. The TIE fighter here is no exception. Standing about8.5 inches tall at the tip of the wing, the TIE fighter is a nice size. It doesn't come with any launching weapons or fancy figures but it does come with battle damage. What I mean by this is the wings. Each wing is plugged into...[See More]
Speeder Bike (with Biker Scout)
Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner) - Vehicles
Rated 5.00 stars by Mr-X
The Scout Troopers aka Biker Scouts. Lightly armored but still dangerous, these were the protectors of Imperial Installments and Scouts of new worlds. They traveled fast on their Speeder Bikes and used only the bikes speed, front gun and a small hand blaster to protect themselves. Throughout all the SW movies, ive always been a big fan of the Scout Troopers. They were always so cool, they rode cool speeders really fast and seemed brighter then regular Stormtroopers since most of the time they didnt get themselves shot...they just ran into trees. It wasnt until several years after I started collecting from the SW line did I learn that they were made as figures. I was a bit annoyed by this, by then they were all but gone. Then one day I was at KB toys and there was one, for $10!!! I was...[See More]
Chewbacca (Hoth)
Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner) - Flashback Photos
Rated 4.75 stars by Mr-X
I haven’t yet found a Chewbacca I like and I doubt I ever will. The original ones for the 1995 series were all werewolf He-men. They didn’t look like the Chewie we know at all. However, the Hoth flashback version was a better figure then the old ones, not great but still better. He stands the typical 3.75 inches tall. His sculpt is much better now, he’s not overly huge and actually looks like Chewie. He's featured in his Hoth style which is still basically him but with all his hair blowing one way and covered in snow. He comes with one item, his bowcaster. I cant say for the other bowcasters but I like this one, it fits his hands and its to scale. One thing that will never change, repackage or not is his coloring. His fur is still brown but now with white patches for snow. His belts and...[See More]
Yoda
Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner) - Flashback Photos
Rated 4.75 stars by Mr-X
A lot of the Flashback figures were actually just repackages of previous figures, maybe minus an item or with an item added. Yoda here is no different having been made and used in the Basic figures wave from the same series. There is a difference however, the first wave had him come with a backpack and his cane, this one had him come with his cane and a pot, I prefer the pot over the backpack since its more his scale. Anyhow, Yoda stands short at about 2 inches, much smaller then most other SW figures. As stated, he comes with two items, his cane and his pot with stand. The cane fits nicely into his hands while the pot adds more to him. He also comes with real feel hair which is white to show his age. His color is still that of the movie and is pretty much the same as before. His...[See More]
Imperial Sentinel
Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner) - Expanded Universe
Rated 5.00 stars by Mr-X
The Imperial Sentinel, cyborg guards who were nearly unstoppable. Not in any of the SW movies they appeared in the Expanded Universe, the many series following the Battle of Endor and the begging of the end of the evil Empire. This guy is actually bigger then most SW figures at about 4 inches instead of the usual 3.75 inches. He features three separate things that give him character and a cool edge. First off, he comes with a massive axe which is taller then him. For an axe its size and buily it actually fits in his hands with easy and if positioned right lets him move the arm its in. The second feature is a removable cloak which as stated can be taken off and put back on without much difficulty. The third feature is his glowing eyes. Apparently Hasbro wanted to use a glowing sections...[See More]
Weequay
Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner) - Hologram Green Card
Rated 5.00 stars by Mr-X
The Weequay stands at 3.75 inches tall and is sculpted nicely. In stead of being in the usual hands at side, walking forward pose hes more in a guarding pose. His chest isn't even slightly puffed nor is he leaning forward. He comes with two weapons, his force pike which fits very nicely into his hands and a blaster which I figure isnt intended to fit into his hands as they are set to the angle for the pike His paintjob is pretty accurate to his movie counterpart as far as I can tell. He wears tan pants with rust brown boots. His upper armor is also a rust brown color and looks allot like a Flak Jacket to me. Under his upper armor he wears a white shirt. His weapon is crafted in a silver color. His hair has been put into braids which are black with yellow streaks. His skin is a dry mud...[See More]
TIE Fighter Pilot
Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner) - Red Card
Rated 5.00 stars by Mr-X
Heres yet another awesome trooper figure, this time in the form of the Imp pilot, operators of the TIE fighter squads. Like all the other trooper figures, he stands at 3.75 inches and isn't in a stuck leaning position. I suppose this was specially designed to fit in the TIE vehicle, which he fits nice and snug into. He comes with two weapons, a blaster and a weird giant blaster rifle of which I couldn't find so it wasn't in the picture. He follows the movie style to a T. Since hes not in any armor he looks skinnier then the standard troopers, something that turned out well here. He's wearing his flight uniform which is painted a gloss black. His flight helmet is also glossy and the life support has its own blue and red painted buttons. Both of his weapons are painted a flat black...[See More]
Snowtrooper
Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner) - Hologram Green Card
Rated 5.00 stars by Mr-X
The dreaded Snowtroopers that fought for control of the ice planet Hoth against the forces of the Alliance are now in the good form of figures. The trooper stands about 3.75 inches and has a good sculpt, hes not stuck in a leaning forward position, he actually looks like hes standing up straight instead of oddly bending over. He comes with two items, a blaster and a backpack. The backpack inserts into his back via a small peg. Small enough that he looks just as good without the backpack on him. His paintjob is that of the movies. he wears white armor with a tannish/grey skirt thing. His whole body is basically white except for the small decals which are yellow and the life support which has blue and red buttons. His backpack is also white but with a grey top and has painted buttons. His...[See More]
Sandtrooper
Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner) - Red Card
Rated 5.00 stars by Mr-X
Another trooper of the empire, we never can get enough of them. each one just adds more and more to our growing army of terror lol. Standing slightly less then 3.75 inches, the trooper is a good figure. He stands less due to his stance which has him slightly leaning forward but in a good way like hes running. He comes with two items, a backpack and rifle. The backpack fits into his back through a clip and the rifle is a two hander, one which is hands are fitted to allowing him to use his properly. His garb is true to the movies. His white armor is was slightly coated in tan to give ihm a dusty look. His rifle is a flat black and the strap is loose plastic so it can move. The backpack is also a black color with several spots painted grey. His er rank thing is mostly black but with and...[See More]
Saelt-Marae (Yak Face)
Star Wars - Power of the Force II (Kenner) - Hologram Green Card
Rated 4.00 stars by Mr-X
Of all the useless characters this guy has to be towards the top of the chain. He had no purpose in the movie, he did nothing. In fact we only saw him in the background of a party on Jabbas skiff. He then died less then 10 minutes later when the skiff went kaboom. Our Yak Faced friend has a bad sculpt, I mean BAD. They made him incredibly skinny and compacted everything together so he looks like a weird twig. His feet are made very bad making him almost impossible to stand on his own. He also comes with a very crappy weapon. If you want a Vibro Staff, BUY A GOOD ONE!!!. It looks like a broken plated on a stick. His color is horrible. Hes wearing Blue underclothes and an orange shirt. Don't know if its a style where he's from but its ugly. He also appears to be a Yak man as hes to the...[See More]
