Superman - Animated Series Reviews
Superman (Deep Dive)
Superman - Animated Series (Kenner) - Series 1
Rated 4.50 stars by Collector1
I got this guy along with the quick change Superman and a hand held Star Wars video game with some birthday money I recived from my Grandparents, on my male parents side, and was able to dig this one up from the toy chest. Deep Dive Superman uses the same head sculpt as the other Superman action figures from this toy line, but a new body. Unlike the space suit action figure, Superman never used this suit in the Animated Series, but it is still pretty cool. Deep Dive Superman is five and three quaters of an inch tall and has six points of articulation with swivel jointed shoulders, hips, waist and neck. The suit is painted to look like a high tech wet suit of sorts. An air tank fits over his back and is attached by very stretch clear yellow rubber with the S-Shield painted on it which...[See More]
Superman (Quick Change)
Superman - Animated Series (Kenner) - Series 1
Rated 4.50 stars by Collector1
Rocketed from a dying world, Kal-El of Krypton was adopted by a kindly couple from Smallville, Kansas who named him Clark Joseph Kent. Raised on a farm, Clark grew instilled with a strong sense of right and wrong and upon discovering his powers and true origin as the last of son of Krypton, dedicated himself to protecting his new home using the secret identity of Superman, the Man of Steel! When danger arises to threaten Metropolis, Clark Kent changes in the blink of an eye into the might Superman. Apparently he does this by ripping off his legs, upper body and back pack in horrible shower of blood and gore to reveal his super suit underneath. Superman's head sinks down into his body with little pressure and allows the Clark Kent head and shirt. Then a pair of pants legs are clipped...[See More]
Supergirl
Superman - Animated Series (Kenner) - Series 3
Rated 4.00 stars by Henchmen4Hire
Supergirl stands almost 4.5 inches, a perfect size for teenage superheroes. I like this white-shirt, blue-skirt, red-caped suit she has. The old all blue suit was too bland and it made her look like a clone of Superman. She has articulation at the arms, neck, and waist. Her legs are molded out of her skirt and the skirt is sculpted. A fabric skirt would have made her look a little slimmer (and it would have allowed her legs to move). I guess Kenner didnt want to sculpt her panties or something...Her short red cape is also made of plastic, and is removable, but it looks fine (although it stops her head from turning since it hits up against her long hair). Supergirl comes with white/grey armor pieces that snap on to her chest, arms, and legs and with two blaster-cannons that attatch to her...[See More]
Brainiac (Evil Alien)
Superman - Animated Series (Kenner) - Series 1
Rated 4.00 stars by Henchmen4Hire
Superman's greatest nemesis, Brainiac stands about 4.75 inches with basic 5-point articulation with bonus articulation at the waist. He looks exacty like he did on the cartoon with the blue skin and purple/silver/yellow suit colors, and that is always a good thing. His right hand is open so it looks like he is shooting one of those crazy beams he uses out of his hands. His left arm is bent with a fist so he can hold the purple blaster he comes with which shoots a large yellow projectile. But like most shooting weapons, once the spring inside gets worn out, it becomes almost useless. Brainiac comes with his fancy hover-chair-tank vehicle [albeit, a VERY simplified version of it] which was a good idea since he used it often in the show [eventhough he can fly without the chair...]. It looks...[See More]
Evil Bizarro
Superman - Animated Series (Kenner) - Series 4
Rated 4.80 stars by Henchmen4Hire
Bizarro is just cool even if no one knows how to spell his name (Bizarro or Bizzaro...Bizzarro?..oh well, I'll stick to my spelling...). He's one of my favorite super-...well he's not really a hero...or a villain...@_@. He's one of my favorite characters in the old Superman cartoons, even if he only came out 2 or 3 times...He has all the abilities that Superman has (you would too if you were cloned from a strand of hi hair!!) and has a similar color scheme to his suit except that he came out with a screw loose...maybe a whole bushel of screws!!...bushel of screws?...o.o... Bizarro stands 4.80 inches. His right arm can be spun around by turning a red wheel-like knob in the center of his back so he can swing around the car parts he has as accessories. He has a red cape which can be...[See More]
