Terminator 2 (Neca) Reviews
Endoskeleton
Terminator 2 (Neca) - 18" Scale
Rated 4.50 stars by XavyH
Basing on my experiences with ownership of this thing, this Endo is: * Very detailed * Very screen accurate * Very articulate (a lot of rotating joints) * Somewhat poseable? * Very (and I mean VERY) fragile! If you see this while you're on eBay, it's definitely worth picking up. Give it a chrome repaint like I did and it'll look a lot better!...[See More]

Manufactured by NECA from around 2006 so it's no longer being made but there are still a few of these on eBay.

good day! this is the T-800 from the terminator 2 series 1 figures from NECA. On the whole, any terminator fan would love this sitting up on their shelf. The paint job is good and accurate. the only problem is that there are as many flaws as there are wins on this figure. the articulation is good but feels very loose and is hard to pose and it is hard for the figure to hold the gun properly. the pistons on his leg work well to hold positions but restrict articulation and are extremely delicate. overall a good figure but too many flaws give it a 3.50...[See More]

I have always been a fan of the Terminator franchise. I love watching Arnold getting shot with little to no effect. Arnold really made the movie. His huge muscular from really made him an imposing bad (and good) guy. He kicked no shortage of butt in the movies. Whither he’s shooting police in the legs or wrestling with the T-100 he does it with style. T2 really upped the ante in action and special effects. Arnold makes the transformation from villain to hero. I love that movie and I have waited a long time for a decent line of toys to go with it. Fortunately NECA heard me and made the T2 line. The T-800 stands about 7 inches tall. Paint- 5 The paint job on this figure is great! The skin tone looks great is has no slop. The clothing is black with a dry brush of light grey to bring out...[See More]

I agree all their t2 stuff is nice but they got cheap on accessories, they''re getting that way with all their figures.

It has been nearly 20 years since I saw the film that would become my all time favorite, and though I love the Kenner action figures from the 90's, I don't think they did the film as much justice as this one! I picked this up, not entirely convinced that I should, since I was looking for the Cyberdyne Showdown (CS) version, which was sold out at the store. I'm glad I did, because even though it does not come with all the accessories that the CS has, it boasts a very impressive sculpt, perhaps even more exciting due to the fact that you can see the endoskeleton skull where the skin has been blasted off. Being a huge fan of the film, I can say that the likeness is nearly perfect. Though Arnold's face doesn't look *quite* right from every angle, it is very, very close, and the endoskeleton...[See More]

This my review of NECA’s T-800 figure. I found this guy at TRU and I snatched him up instantly. This figure is amazing. I love it. This is the best Terminator figure ever. Sculpt: this is the perfect recreation of Arnold in T2. It looks like they grabbed him off the screen and turned him into plastic. The head looks EXACTLY like Arnold. When I say exactly I mean it. He has his glasses sculpted/ glued on. Don’t try to remove them they will probably break. The sculpt on his body is good also; it is not at all bothered by articulation. The jacket is done in a soft plastic, other than the arms which are hard plastic, but they have no reason to be soft. It has bullet holes in the back which do not go all the way through the jacket but look like it. Under the jacket is a black shirt which...[See More]

i figured out the reason for the 2 cut joints in the left leg, it is so they would not need to sculpt so much for the series 2 battle damaged figure. they just swaped out that part of the leg and added the battle damaged one instead.

actually the holes do go all the way through the jacket. I took it off for my Ghost rider 2099 custom while i do work on the body. Though when you take it off the sleeves blend into the t-shirt so well it looks like he''s wearing a long sleeve shirt.

Basically the same body as the Man or Machine figure but with better articulation. The head, elbows, wrists, just below the knees, feet, and waist all turn with a very slight ability to raise his arms outward to his sides. He comes with a jacket that seems like it would come off but his arms have the sleeves molded on. The sculpt of the face is more arnold-like and the sunglasses, sadly, are molded on. He comes with the lever action shotgun but it is rather flimsy looking and badly painted. THe paint aps are good and I found no real issues with the figure quality wise. Again like the Man or Machine figure I'd have liked more accessories. A head with the glasses busted would have been a nice touch. The figure's jacket has the bullet holes on his back cut out and not just partially molded...[See More]

Not the most interesting of the T2 figures Neca put out it is a neat mix of Arnie and the endo skeleton. Articulation is poor with the the head, arms at the shoulders and right below the elbow of the expose endo, mid thigh and endo arm wrist being all that moves. The sculpt is pretty good but mine doesn't look as much like Arnie as the one in the promotional picture does so maybe it was the prototype. The paint aps are good and shockingly for once I found no real problems with a Neca figure out of the package. I would have liked more accessories with these figures though. Maybe an endo BAF or even key items like the endo arm and chip that were stored at cyberdyne. You get a single pistol with this figure which doesn't seem like much compared to other stuff. The good part is they have the...[See More]

While it looks nicer than the McFarland T-800 it does have some flaws. It is missing articulation that I really liked in the McFarland, the arm on that one rotates at a point under the elbow like a real arm while the Neca version only has a wrist that rotates. The neat feature on this is that the jaw moves. I'm a little annoyed by the eyes, they look like they're rolling back into its head. The gun is a beefy thing that looks pretty accurate to the ones in T2 and even T3. The legs are held together with screws as is the main body, 2 instead of McFarlane's one, and the hoses didn't break off the arms when I opened it as they seem just a bit thicker. The paint job is bleh, seems like a simple wash and some detail work would spice it up. The figure comes with a spare hand to replace the one...[See More]
