somebody1Bumblebee's primary function in the original Transformers animated series and comics was to serve as the "young" character with whom the youthful viewing audience could identify, and he would befriend the Autobots' primary human ally - the young son of the Witwicky family (Buster in the Marvel comic - see issue #1 - and Spike in the cartoon) - to this end, a concept that persists into the 2007 live-action film. Although a well-known character because of this, Bumblebee is quite unusual in that, unlike many other Transformers, his name has not been re-used and applied to unrelated characters throughout the ensuing twenty years of Transformers media, due to the loss of the trademark until recently. His role as the "young yellow character", however, has inspired other Transformers characters...[

somebody1Having never owned the original Astrotrain, or any triplechanger, I was happy when I heard they were making him. While not thrilled by the paint job it is a very good tribute to his G1 form. He has his robot form, a space shuttle form, and the train form. Thankfully he isn't a steam engine anymore. Never did understand why he was a steam engine anyhow when he could have at least picked a sleak 50's steam engine form. He is fairly easy to transform ocnce the instructions make sense. The sculpt on his head is good, looking like his G1 form, but the paint is rather bland. Overall the paint is the biggest letdown on this figure. He is molded in white with the most basic of paint applications. I would have liked to have seen maybe something more like his G1 colors or something more...[

Collector1Grimlock, leader of the Dinobots, ultimate warrior and the love of Simon Furman's life, how can you go wrong with a updated version of his original G1 toy based in the original Marvel Comics continuity?! The answer it that you can't and I if you did you deserve a short, sharp lesson followed by a whole world of pain! Hasbro has created one of the best versions of everyone's favorite saurian so can I do no less than give my best review to date?
Grimlock's got a complex but down right fun transformation. Expect to get hung up when it comes to getting his arms in place until you figure out that the chest plate can spine and brings his left dino-mode leg into position for his right arm. He has two weapons, his bayonet blaster and whip which is formed from his tail. The whip is probably my...[

Optimus Prime vs MegatronTransformers - Classics (Hasbro) - Battle Packs

Collector1(Megatron)
Founder of the Decepticon uprising on Cybertron, Megatron is an immensely powerful warrior with a seemingly insatiable thirst for conquest and glory, things he see's as the birthright of all Transformers, and if the Autobots and that pathetic Optimus Prime try to get in his way, he will show them why he is called The Great Slag Maker!
Transformers Classics Battle Pack Megatron is based loosly on the first Generation 2 Megatron made which was giant purple and tank (great camo there Megatron! After all, Earth has so many purple and green jungles!) but focuses more on green than purple, thank Primus for that.
Megatron's main turret becomes his right hand and doubles as a dual bladed weapon that spins around and around with the push of a button, while his left hand is simple...[

Optimus Prime vs MegatronTransformers - Classics (Hasbro) - Battle Packs

Collector1(Optimus Prime)
The fearless leader of the Autobot's, Optimus Prime will stop at nothing, even sacrificing his own life, to protect the innocent from the evil forces of the Decepticon's, lead by Megatron. Armed with a powerful Laser Rifle and incredible physical strength even by Transformers standard's, Optimus may be the only one capable of putting an end to Megatron once and for all!
Transformers Classics 2 pack Optimus Prime is meant to try and accurately depict the animation model used in the 1985 to 1986 cartoon series. They didn't do it very well.
Like his original toy, Optimus Prime transformers into a cab over truck. His color scheme is the basic red, white and blue seen on most versions of Prime. In vehicle mode, Optimus Prime's arms prove too short to fully reach the end of...[

Collector1Founder of the Decepticon uprising on Cybertron, Megatron will lead the Cybertronian race to its great destiny as rulers of the Universe and the only thing that stands in his way are those accursed Autobots and Optimus Prime!
Megatron has taken the form of a Nerf N-Strike Blaster to disguise himself on the primitive world of Earth. This is clearly what caused the toy company's to tell kids not to shoot at other children, they are clearly in league with the Autobots! The mighty Corperate Who-I uh, mean, Megatron has functioning cross hairs in his scope and the trigger activates a clicking action.
Due to safety regulations, Megatrons blaster mode has bright orange tips on the scope and the guns barrel. These have a tendency to fade in color over time, so I would try and keep it from...[

grimlockprime108To start off with it was nice to see the return of the MINICON 3-packs(what were they thinking releasing 2-packs during CYBERTRON?),even though these figures really have no place in the classics line. They were originally meant for the CYBERTRON line, but were bumped into classics.
Now for the overview. In this set you are getting 3 minicons of the animal persuasion.I will cover each of the three individually.
DREADWING is an avian creature vaguely resembling ENERGON DIVEBOMB in both bot and beast mode. His colors are an uninspired mix of red, brown, and silver.Transformation isn't too terribly complex, but be careful of the ball joints.
OVERBITE is marginally better than our previous contestant at least having a more distinctive predator for beast mode;R.E.wolf.He has a decidedly DECEPTICON...[

Henchmen4HireHaving never gotten into the Transformers craze is something I now regret. Any TF I now see that I like costs me some major cash to get. Luckily there are some still decent people in the world who are willing to help new fans, like me, get some info and get my hands on these little pieces of history (and in some cases HUGE pieces!) This being my first TF review, you'll have to forgive any odd/inaccurate terms I use, like calling a Power Matrix the "shiny doo-hickey".

Optimus Prime stands ready for battle at over 6 1/2 inches tall (fully transformed). Out of all the Primes I saw, I think this one looks best. He has a sleek look while the others I've seen look much bulkier. Now, I'm not sure...[

ShinobitronAstrotrain is another classic Transformers that has not had a modern incarnation until now. The original Astrotrain changed from Locomotive to Space shuttle to robot. The modern version contains all three modes only with a modern upgrade.
Vehicle Mode:
Astrotrain is a triple changer thus featuring 3 modes of conversion. His space shuttle mode is based off of today?s modern shuttles. The shuttle has working landing gear and a storage peg underneath for the rifle. The train mode has upgraded from classic locomotive to a modern day bullet train. The train has a peg for inserting the gun and has working train wheels for the realistic look. The back end of the train is kinda bulky but is understandable since this figure needs to have pieces for all modes of conversion.
Robot...[

ShinobitronThis will probably be the first of Transformers Classics figures I plan on reviewing. A neat feature all classic figure have is the heat rub symbols have returned. These figures are a great homage to the original characters that made the series what it is to day, a classic.
Bumblebee was the first of the Classics that I picked up, and is my favorite thus far. Bumblebee started his life in 1984 as VW bug. In 1986 he was remade into a throttlebot (pull back and go action Transformer) with a new name (Goldbug) and a gold paintjob. Fans didn't take to this well and was remade again in 88 as a Pretender. Since then Volkswagon no longer gave the rights to the Bug to TAKARA / Hasbro and BB has had no figures made since then. . . until now.
Auto Mode:
Bumbleee is no longer his...[
