Beetlejuice (Kenner) Reviews
Beetlejuice (Shish Kebab)
Beetlejuice (Kenner) - Series 1
Rated 3.00 stars by Karl T. Face
Let's see if I can get through this without saying it three times. Beetlejuice was a huge part of my childhood. The movie, the cartoon, the toys. I adored all three aesthetics, each with their own charm. The toyline (outside of role-playing toys) was the most simplified of the bunch. Shish Kebab Beetlejuice is one of several variations on the Ghost with the Most, most of which corresponded to the film somewhat. This particular outfit, with the cap and long coat, is his "tour guide" look, from the scene where he stabs Barbara with several spikes and then dances into a brothel. Y'know, for the kids to play with. It's all been smoothed over, of course. No badge on the hat, a rather bland sculpt. Phantom Flyer
Beetlejuice (Kenner) - Accessories
Rated 4.00 stars by JakkNewman
The Phantom Flyer was fun to play around with just like the Creepy Crusier. Both vehicles had no appearance in the feature film but any kid with an imagination could expand on the story and spend hours with these things. I used to pretend Beetlejuice would ride back in on the night sky from just being 'killed' at the end of the film by a sandworm. I'd use the Ghostbusters Haunted Humans to accompany him on his reentry into the Earth Realm. Fun toy, glad to still own it. The detachable wheel on the front is easily lost unless you buy a MIB specimen....[See More]

Ok everyone knows Beetlejuice didn't have his own version of the Batmobile in the Tim Burton film, but did that stop me from having a blast with this thing as a kid? No sir, I LOVED this vehicle to pieces. Stick your favorite Beetlejuce in the driver seat (the Shish Cabob one fit particularly well), throw Otho in the Sandworm Ring Of Death, and wheel the Creepy Cruiser around spinnin' the poor hapless victim to the point of guaranteed nausea and irritation. Fun! You can also lift the handle on the Sandworm pit to launch Otho or whoever out of the pit. The only gripe I have is with the antelope or bull skull on the hood; it could've been a cool action feature but all it does is have horns that move up and down. If they made the skull a projectile or even gave it the ability to extend out...[See More]
