T-800 {Pescadero Escape} (Terminator 2 (Neca)) Review
T-800 {Pescadero Escape}
Terminator 2 (Neca) (Neca)This my review of NECA’s T-800 figure. I found this guy at TRU and I snatched him up instantly. This figure is amazing. I love it. This is the best Terminator figure ever.

Sculpt: this is the perfect recreation of Arnold in T2. It looks like they grabbed him off the screen and turned him into plastic. The head looks EXACTLY like Arnold. When I say exactly I mean it. He has his glasses sculpted/ glued on. Don’t try to remove them they will probably break. The sculpt on his body is good also; it is not at all bothered by articulation. The jacket is done in a soft plastic, other than the arms which are hard plastic, but they have no reason to be soft. It has bullet holes in the back which do not go all the way through the jacket but look like it. Under the jacket is a black shirt which looks good with very natural looking wrinkles, same with the pants. It all looks great on this figure

Paint: the paint of this figure is good from what I can see. Other than there is some paint on his forehead at the hairline, but this is hardly noticeable. The paint for the rest of the body looks fine though nothing wrong from what I could see.

Articulation: this figure has very good articulation that does not bother the sculpt at all.
He has a ball joint at the base of his neck which works very well, and allows him to look in all directions. He has ball jointed shoulders and some weird elbow joint which I have been seeing a lot lately. It is a peg/hinge combination which works very well and allows for way more arm movement without any cut joints in the middle of his arm which would mess up the sculpt. Then its ball jointed wrist hidden under the sleeves of the jacket. He also has a cut waist, then it gets weird. His left leg has no articulation, other than cut ankle, but his right has 2 cut joints. One in the middle his thigh and the other in-between his knee and foot (about where his boot would end under the pants. I don’t know why there are 2 for the right leg and none for the other but that’s what happened. It does fix some balance problems but not well. His arms weigh so much that if you have them in front of him he will fall forwards.

He comes with a shotgun which he holds very well and looks great.

This is an excellent figure which I highly recommend for any terminator fan. I got him for about $12. And he is definitely worth it.

actually the holes do go all the way through the jacket. I took it off for my Ghost rider 2099 custom while i do work on the body. Though when you take it off the sleeves blend into the t-shirt so well it looks like he''s wearing a long sleeve shirt.

i figured out the reason for the 2 cut joints in the left leg, it is so they would not need to sculpt so much for the series 2 battle damaged figure. they just swaped out that part of the leg and added the battle damaged one instead.
