Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog (Jazwares)Back in the early 90’s there were two big video game companies battling it out for the number one spot. This was the console wars and at its head was Mario vs. Sonic. Now as a kid I loved both Mario and Sonic but Mario never got a decent action figure. Thanks to the good folks at Jazwares they have made a highly detailed and articulated figures based off Sonic. Sonic stands about 3 inches high.

Paint- 5

Well there isn’t much paint on Sonic as he’s mostly blue. His shoes paint details look good and are cleanly applied. Sonics eyes look great and really have a realistic look. Over all the paint looks great!

Sculpt -5

Man Sonic never looked better! The sculpt is perfect! This is the perfect 3d rendition of everybody’s favorite blue hedgehog. Everything looks great. Jazwares really hit a home run with Sonic.

Articulation 5

Despite these figures only 3 inches they pack articulation of figures twice there size. Sonic features, head, ball shoulders, elbow, ball hips and knees. I was so surprised when I opened him to see all that poa. These figures could have easily ended up like the popco super Mario figures and just have been statutes but ol’ Sonic has a fair number of posing potential.

Now after raving on how good Sonic here we get a category that falls short. Sonic comes with nothing. The new releases come with a base which it badly needed as Sonic can’t stand up for the life of him. I would have liked a power ring or a box with a power up in it. But I paid $7.00 cdn for him which is really cheap so I guess Jazwares just wanted to keep costs down

Over all this is the best Sonic toy on the market. Cheap, well sculpted and lots of articulation this figure has it all. If you are a sonic fan I highly recommend you pick this figure up. You won’t be sorry.
