DC Universe Classics (Mattel)This is one of my favorite action figures of all time. This was one of the first DC Universe Classics I bought. I have always been a fan of the design and bright colors on Red Tornado's costume. Mattels rendition of this character was a perfect match to the classic dcu R.T. the paint job on this figure is nothing short of magnificent. All the base plastic is red so you don't need to worry about paint rub. They airbrushed on a darker red fore all the shading on the body. The lines on the costume are super sharp. They are all bright yellow with a orange wash(some of the ones I saw in stores didn't have this orange wash but I was lucky enough to get one of the ones that did. His cape and gloves are made of soft rubber. Like most dcu his cape attaches to his back so that it doesn't flop around and get bent out of shape like some ML capes did. His joints are standard dcu which is to say pretty good. He came with a collect and connect figure part and a small clear tornado which fits on his hand perfectly so you can pose him with it. His shoulder disks are cast in yellow so the paint won't rub off of them either which is a problem with some of the dcu I have bought. I give this figure a five out of five. This figure was a pure win!
