Trigun - Nicholas D. Wolfwood Revoltech (Kaiyodo)Get him. Even if you know nothing about Trigun, get him. Of the few modern Revoltechs I've encountered (Vash and Fraulein Asuka being the other two) Wolfwood is leaps and bounds ahead and he offers literally everything you could want from him and more. As is expected of all figures from the far east, Wolfwood comes with a pile of spare parts including fists, gun-holding hands for use with Assemble Borg, gun holding hands with Wolfwood's pistols molded into them, a hand to hold his cross in firing position, an additional hand to hold the piece of plastic used to carry it over his shoulder, a hand to hold one of two tiny cigarettes (Kaiyodo says smoking is okay kids! *note sarcasm), a hand to pose with to look like he is stroking an imaginary beard (fangirls beware- this is fanfic worthy stuff), a smiling face, a stern face, an angry face and an alternate fringe which allows Wolfwood to wear sunglasses (a small orange box is included to contain all of these smaller parts). If all that was not enough he also comes with his signature cross with machine gun part, rocket launcher partS, effect parts for both of these and the same kicking sand part and extended clear revoltech stand that Vash came with. In terms of plastic alone you get far more than you paid for. I did have to widen the peg hole on one of the pistol hands but that was so minor I really didn't care. He comes with articulation up the tailpipe as there are revolver joints in his ankles (with a very welcome ankle swivel), his lower torso, his elbows, wrists, shoulders, two in each knee for 'doublejointedness' and two more in his neck. His thighs do not have revolver joints but the simple joints he does have a more than acceptable substitutes. While he doesn't possess the degree of sculpted detail that Vash does I find this is to his credit as it means Wolfwood looks crisp and slick- as if he had been drawn to life. And that's not to say there's no sculpted detail- there are still creases all over his suit, lines on his hands where bone would be, excellent anime style hair and even his shoes look worn in. If I really needed to pick flaws in Wolfwood I suppose there are some. There should be some cross shaped cuff-links on his sleeves and if you choose to have him without sunglasses the eyes don't look quite right. Also the double jointed nature of his neck means he looks like he's just had some fairly horrific surgery but I found that I stopped caring fairly quickly..............oh and I suppose the cross seems to have been designed to peg onto the stand and thus stand up whilst Wolfwood poses- it can't because the hole isn't sized correctly and neither was the peg in wolfwood's lower back to plug in the stand but again- such minor problems that they can be safely ignored. I find myself able to be much nicer to Wolfwood than I was with Vash because he was less than half the price of Vash and yet I seem to have got more for my money. The cross and it's additional pieces are a major reason to buy this guy and if you want to make Christianity look bada$$ look no further. Get him, get him now. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
