Lieutenant Colonel James Rhodes Marvel Legends (Hasbro) (Hasbro)The movie Iron Man III has been subject to harsh criticism (some unfair, in my opinion), but every collector must agree in something: in there where plenty opportunities for a lot of action figures. One of them is the Stark's best friend Rhodey, but this time, not as War Machine, but with the colours of Iron Patriot. The Marvel Legends version of this character was released in the Iron Monger Series, being accompanied with the left arm to build this figure. The Iron Patriot itself seens to represent accurately this cinematic counterpart. Some details astonish, like the armour itself and the sculpt of some joints. The body has good proportions. The paint work could be a bit more whimsical. Some colours bleed over the others, and the result overall makes an appearance of cheap toy. At least, there´s good marbling effects througout the entire figure. The markings, writings and badges are well placed too. As for the articulations, the result is also laking. There are sufficient in numbers, but they are a bit restricted. The head moves down, but not so much up (wich is bad for flying poses). The shoulders limit the wide of the arms, and the pulses don't bend up (wich, again, is bad for shooting poses). The movement of the legs s restricted by the armour, and the feet can barely move. Beyond the BAF piece, the figures comes with a shoulder cannon, who can be place wether in the left or right side (there´s two peg roles in the back). The cannon has a good range of motion, being made entirely of black plastic. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
