Michael Myers (Ghost Sheet) Cult Classics (Neca)Received this yesterday. It’s second hand so no packaging review, and no pumpkin accessory either as it was missing. It’s an older NECA figure, which means four things: It’s rare; it’s expensive; articulation isn’t great; and it’s obviously not going to be up to the high quality levels of contemporary NECA figures. The figure itself is Michael Myers from the first Halloween film, and comes with the scene-specific ghost sheet he, erm, ‘borrowed’ from Bob. The sheet is removable with a full Michael Myers figure underneath. Articulation is minimal. The head, arm joints, hands, and feet move, but there’s no waist joint or leg joint movement. Myers is depicted in his classic look, complete with Shatner mask. The detail on the body is very good, but whilst the head isn’t terrible there’s something not quite right about it. Still, it’s good to have both covered and uncovered options available. Fortunately the ghost sheet look is great. Considering it’s just a white sheet there’s a lot of sculpted detail in the various folds. It’s made from flexible rubber, but don’t expect it to move with the articulated arms. The glasses slot into two holes, with two further ‘peepholes’ for the costume. It’s sculpted in a way that allows the hands to be seen, with the right hand holding the kitchen knife. I personally bought it to display alongside my Jason and Freddy NECA figures. It just seemed empty without Myers there, and I always loved the ghost sheet scene. He’s generally in scale with the contemporary NECA figures, but is slightly taller than them (he dwarfs Freddy). If you’re a fan of NECA’s horror figures and see this pop up at an affordable price, get it! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
