Lord of the Rings - Trilogy (Toy Biz)This figure boasts the super poseable but compared to other super articulated figures it misses some crucial points, takes some other aspects too far and overall the figure suffers for it. What I mean is the figure has A head that can move 360 and look up and down a bit, arms that can hinge outward and rotate, then double hinges elbows but no swivel at the upper arm. The hands rotate and have some movement but this just makes holding the sword impossible. There’s hip rotation, hinges legs that go forward and outwards, a leg swivel and hinges knees but when we get to the foot the toes did not need to be articulate as they look freaky, the swivel shin and hinge at the ankle are fine but his entire foot and calves seem too small. There’s some detailing present like the ring being moulded onto the torso and this is the only Frodo with an Elven cloak that includes his backpack. The headsculpt is ok but I feel Frodo like Aragorn is a hard head to find a decent likeness of so it’s luck of the draw when you come across one either it will be suitable or not. Personally I’d recommend getting this figure if only to transfer the arms and possibly the legs but not the feet to a better looking Frodo. Ine other issue I have is stings sheath is practically grafted to his leg and tends to snap off unlike the removable versions which are ultimately better. It’s a shame that this super poseable figure leaves much to be desired in my opinion.    by Deaditor |
