Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey (Bridge Direct)My least favourite Gandalf figure and probably the worst hobbit series figure available. Essentially a brick because what is the point of having solid plastic robes and leg articulation beaneath that can’t be used. He’s way too short looks nothing like Ian Mckellen, Toybiz got it right ten years or more before and this one looks more like Michael gambon is anything. So I suppose you could get one and pretend it’s the dummy Gandalf Galadriel carries on screen as he was written on the cast call sheet as Michael gambon for a joke!
This figures upper articulation is ok same as all the others, though due to the headsculpted hair he can’t move his head. He comes with a far too thin glamdring in a kind of lazily made sheath as it has the same pattern all the way down meaning no sepperation between the body of the sheath and the metal end piece. The staff is shaped well but just moulded plastic so it’s not painted nicely like the old staffs. The hat is basically solid plastic so it’s moulded to fit the head but not well. Literally the o my 2 things I got from this figure were the new staff and the scarf which is funny that’s all that the figure has to offer. It is my least favourite figure from this series and isn’t even with trying to improve, buy a Toybiz Gandalf
