Mr. Freeze (Batman - Extreme Power) Review
Mr. Freeze
Batman - Extreme Power (Mattel)Although I'm not too impressed with how Fries was portrayed in the "The Batman" cartoon, I love how all the figures from that line look EXACTLY like they're supposed to. There are no creative liberties here, what you see on the show is what you get in plastic!

Freeze stands about 5.25 inches to the top of his head and 5.75 to the top of his jagged ice-helmet. The helm is made of flaxtic (flexible plastic, that's right, it's my new word) so the jaggies won't poke kids' eyes out. It looks great and is very clear so you can see his head inside. The head is pale white with two evil red eyes. I heard somewhere that there is a variant to this figure; instead of having this ninja-esque type face he has a human-looking face, but I haven't seen any pictures to confirm this. The contraption the helm and head are attached to is slate-blue and detailed with some rivets all around. Also there are 4 rubber "hoses" that extend from it and go into a pack on Freeze's back. The arms have clear sections in them and add to Freeze's overall coolness. The shoes have heavy treads on them so he doesn't slip on his own ice. I like how the hands look like gloves even though there's no visible "glove-line". They are very flexible too, I'm surprised they didn't put a flexible metal rod in the wrists so the hand could retain its position after being moved, but we can't have everything, now can we! Also, I don't know if Freeze came with any accessories since I got my figure loose, I can't imagine what, if any, they would be. Maybe a bolt of ice? I don't see how he could hold it anyway.

Victor has 5 POA; the arms, legs, and waist can move. The legs can't be bent backwards, which is a good thing because it helps a whole lot in standing him up straight (because he's top-heavy), and people aren't supposed to bend that way anyway! I think it'd be cool if the helmet was removable (to move the head) but it's glued on. That doesn't mean you can't rip it off anyway! :D

So, yes, go buy this figure, even if you don't watch the show, at least go see this fig for yourself and buy it for your office so all your friends can make countless jokes and comments about how "cool" it is.
