Cult Classics (Neca)The Texas chainsaw massacre: The beginning (or TCM:TB) action figure boxed set from Neca is highly recommended for fans of TCM and horror alike. Much like all of Necas figures, this one is amazing. The detail is great and the paint job gives it that true killer look. The accessories are superb, and include a clever, mallet, hook, no whining sign, and a complete basement diorama. Don't forget the trusty chainsaw, also included. The diorama isn't what I thought it would be, but still nice. It consists of a stump, a bench, a crate like table and a full sized table complete with bloody skinned victim. These pieces are loose and do not have any specific base to place them on, basically leaving it open for the buyer to create their own basement layout. The figure also comes with 2 interchangeable heads and one interchangeable arm. The heads are nicely sculpted. One head is of his muzzle like mask from early in the movie. The other is of his first skin mask. The skin tone on the skin mask seems a bit off to me but it may be correct. The alternate arm is in a bent elbow position and can only be posed facing away from the figure. The alternate arm is for use with the clever or mallet accessories because it is in more of a swinging type of position. The regular arm, already on the figure when opened, is a straight arm that is ideal for wielding the chainsaw. Unfortunately, the figure can only hold the saw with one hand which makes it difficult to kill your other figures, lol. That is one of the only downfalls of this figure. The saw itself is rather fragile and seems a bit smaller than the actual size of saw used in the film, compared to the size of the figure. All in all, this is one awesome figure, and I am sure Neca will dish out more like this one in the near future. If you are a collector or just love the franchise, this is a must have!
